The Wait

Chapter 12

Beep beep beep beep.

I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm clock monday morning.

I flipped over to the left side of my bed so I could hit snooze.

I hate monday mornings. Doesnt everyone?

I fell alseep for another 5 minutes then woke up again to my alarm.

"Ok,now I need to get up," I said to myself.

I slowly rolled off my bed and went into the bathroom and got a quick shower. I took a cold one to wake me up a little bit more.

When I got out I picked out some clothes.

Im wearing some leggings with a tank top with a hoodie over top and some converse. Im also wearing some vans and my hair natural. I threw on some mascara and lipgloss too.

After I got changed I looked over at my clock to see I only five more mintutes till the bus gets here.

"Oh no," I screeched.

I quickly grabbed my back pack from off my bedroom floor and ran down stairs.

I ran into the kichen and grabbed a banana and ran out the door.

Once I closed the front door behind me my bus pulled up.

Honk honk!

"Coming,coming," I yelled out of breath from running.

"Hey Maggie," I heard a fimliar voice call.

I turned around from locker to see Maria running up to me.

"Oh hey," I said with a small smile.

"Luke's looking for you," Maria blurted out.

"Huh?" I asked not picking up what she said.

"Luke's looking for you," Maria said again yelling.

"Why?" I asked.

"I don't know," she said.

But then I remembered that me and him are going to talk about his tutoring.

"Oh I know," I said.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Tutoring," I explained.

"Oh ok," She said asured.

"Well, where is he?" I asked.

"Over here," Maria said grabbing my wrist and taking me somewhere.

We took some turns down halls and around lots of other places.

But finally we got all the way around to the other side of the school where the juniors are.

Maria took me up to a group of guys. She squeezed me through all the tall guys and finally Luke was standing right in front of me.

Luke looked over to me and smilied.

"Hey Mags," He said.

I gave a confused look on my face because people dont call me that except my dad.

"Oh I hope you dont mind me calling you that," He said nervous.

"Yeh,thats fine I guess," I said.

"Ok,cool," He said with a huge smile.

We just stood there staring at each other for a second.

"So..." I said.

"Oh yeh, come here," Luke said pulling me to the side.

"What days can you tutor me?" He asked.

"Well we could do it here on Wensdays in the library after classes,if thats a good day for you?" I asked.

"Yeh,that sounds great!" He said with excitement.

Why is he so excited I thought to myself. Its just tutoring.

"Ok,cool," He said.

"Hey, Luke come here," Luke's friend Mark yelled.

"Coming," Luke yelled back.

"Hey I gotta go," Luke said.

"Alrighy its fine," I said.

"Bye," He said.

"Bye," I said back.
