The Wait

Chapter 18

"What a stressful week," I complained sinking into the couch.

"I know right," Maria agreed sitting down next to me.

It's friday afternoon and me and Maria just got home from school. Maria is spending the night at my house.

"There has been so much homework this week and it has really been stressing me out," I huffed.

"Well, then its probally good that you didn't tutor Luke this week," Maria said.

"Now that I think about it, I guess it is," I said," It's so cool how God can make everything turn out just right."

"Yup," Maria said really accentuating the p.

Me and Maria talked for a long time on the couch then went in the kichen for a snack.

"So,what do you want to eat?" I asked.

"Hm, I don't know," Maria said shrugging her shoulders.

I looked through my kichen cabnits searching for food. But then something caught my eye.

"Hey Maria," I said slyly.

"Yeh?" She asked looking up from her phone.

I whiped out the pancake mix and said," Wanna make pancakes?"

"Oh yeh," She said super serious.

"Then let's get started," I said with the same voice.

"Oh my goodness Maggie, We have pancake mix all over us," Maria screamed.

When I poured the pancake mix in the bowl, I accidently slipped it everywhere.

"I'm so sorry," I said trying not to laugh.

I couldn't help,we looked ridiculous!

But then we both just busted out laughing, like pee our pants kind of laughing.

As we calmed down Maria said, " Ok, this calls for an Instagram pic. "

"Alright," I said whipping away a laughing tear.

Maria held up her phone and snapped a couple selfies. We decied on posting the one with us making a super funny face.

After posting it we decied to clean up the mess and just stick to eating a bowl of chips.

"Hey, wanna watch a movie?" I asked.

"Ok sure," Maria replied.

After about an hour in of watching frozen Maria said," Oh hey Maggie look. "

"What is it?" I asked kinda sucked into the movie.

"Luke liked the picture of us on IG," She said.

"Let me see," I said leaning over Maria's phone.

"Oh wait, he commented too," She added.

"What did he say?" I asked.

"He said... Tell Maggie I said Hi," She said with a confused face.
