Monday afternoon after school I went home and did the normal. Do my homework,have some free time,then eat dinner.
I ran down stairs and immediatly got a whiff of a yummy smell.
I slowly followed the smell into the kichen, to see my mom making dinner.
"Whats that yummy smell?" I asked in awe.
"Im making chicken stir fry," She replied.
"Yummy!" I said licking my lips.
I decied to sit down at the island in our kichen and chit-chat with my mom.
As we talked I remembered that I need to tell her about that Im going to tutor Luke.
"Oh hey mom, I need to tell you about something," I said.
"Oh ok,whats up?" She wondered.
"Well, theres a boy named Luke that goes to our church and school and we wants me to tutor him for science," I explained.
"Really?" My mom asked.
"Yeh," I replied.
"Thats interesting," she said in a little bit of disbeilf.
"Yeh,I guess so," I said.
"Thats alot of responsability,you know?" My mom said.
"I know, but It might give me extra credit though," I said
"Oh yeh,your right," She said.
There was a slight pause.
"So, who is this boy again," My mom asked curiously.
"His name is Luke. He goes to our church," I said.
She scanned her mind a little bit.
"Oh,Luke Arden. Kathy's and John's son," she said.
Thats Luke's parents.
"Oh, hes a nice boy. Thats the kind of boy that I want you to grow up and marry," My mom said.
I blushed really hard.
"Oh, let me guess, do you like him?" My mom asked me.
"Maybe," I answered with a smile.
"Well, this will be a great oppertunity to get and know him better," My mom said with a wink.
"Alright now, go set the table please because dinner is ready," She said.
"Ok," I said with a huge smile.
While I was setting the table all I could think about was Luke.
How about the tutoring might go; if I'll do a good job or if he'll think I stink and he doesn't want me to tutor him anymore.
Who knows? But all I could think about was that I was going to be able to hang out with him every Wednesday.
