The Wait

Chapter 24

Friday I was in science class and a note landed on my desk.

This happens alot acually but I just ignore them because I don't want get in trouble in class.

But today I had an urge to open it like the devil was tempting me. But I can't give in to peer pressure.

So, instead of opening I decide to just look around the classroom to see you gave it to me.

I looked to my right and left but everyone was looking down at there textbooks.

But then I scooted around and looked behind me. I saw Marrisa smirking at me motioning to look at the note.

I moved my lips to say the word later. Then she made an okay sign with her fingers.

After the I squiggled back around to the front of my desk and finished reading.

After Science class I hopped right of my seat and into the hallways right away because I was anxious to see the note.

I opened up the very crumbled piece of paper in my hands and read, " I'm hoping I can still go to church with you on Sunday. "

I looked up from the note and smiled. I'm so happy Marrisa is really willing to go to church with me.

After throwing the note and textbooks into my locker and pulling out my new ones, I quickly searched the hallways to maybe catch Marrisa before my next class.

I fast walked through my long, crowded hallways searching for her.

Then I spotted her in the corner of my eye walking in front of me.

"Marisa, " I shouted across the hallway. She quickly turned around and looked for me. Then she spotted me and waved.

But once she put her hand down the bell rang. Awe man!

"I'll talk to you at lunch, " She shouted at me.

"Okay! " I shouted back.

"Hey, " A fimilar voice said in front of me.

I looked up from my lunch to see Marrisa sitting down in front of me with her lunch too.

"Oh, hey. I read your note, " I told her.
"Oh, good. So? " She asked really hoping for an answer.

"...Oh yeh, sorry. Yes, you can come on Sunday, " I told her not really comprehending on what she had said.

"Oh, awesome! So what time I should be ready? " Marrisa asked.

"We will pick you up at 9:00 am, " I replied.

"Ok cool; I'm so excited, " She squeeled.

"Me too! " I said with brighting smile.

My phone lit up saying text message from Marrisa.

I quickly turned it on and it said, " So, does this outfit look good? " ( outfit in media above.)

"Super cute! " I replied.

"Thanks! " Marrisa texted.

"No problem, " I said.

Sunday morning I got into the car with my family for church.

"Remember to pick up Marrisa, " I told my dad who was going to be driving.
