A month had gone by since Dimentio had left now, but things between the people closest to him just didn't seem the same. Merlon had appointed Mario as his go-to man for jobs now that Dimentio was gone, Timpani was more downtrodden than ever with yet another loved one gone, and Mr.L was in the worst of conditions.

Timpani, Merlon, and even Mario would go to him to try and help ease his pain of mourning, but he simply couldn't get over it, even if he tried. By now everyone knew that they couldn't help make Mr.L happier, so they just helped him to not harm himself when he tried to cope. For the past few weeks, he had been struggling to keep himself together. One time during a visit, Merlon was horrified to walk in and find Mr.L debating ending his own game with a knife in his hand.

But even after a full month, Mr.L's tears didn't stop flowing or gave a moment to dry at all. He refused to go outside his home, an old apartment that he and Dimentio had shared and lived in together, which only served as another painful reminder to him that it would now be almost empty. It was terrible that Dimentio had been ripped from him just when they finally found each other, but it was even worse knowing that he never got the chance to say "I do".

Mr.L sat on the edge of his bed, the lights off and the blinds down to prevent the mid-day sun from shining through. He choked on sobs as tears pooled at his feet, staining his muddy grey boots. His clothes were unkempt and his hair was messy, the main signs of his lack of self-preservation.

Suddenly, a soft knocking at his door made him snap out of his thoughts. Mr.L perked up and looked to the door hopefully like a dog expecting its owner to come back, but quickly saddened again as the door creaked open to reveal Daisy.

"May I come in..?" She asked gently.

Mr.L sniffled and wiped his arm on his sleeve before nodding to her a little. She opened the door wide and walked over to the blinds.

"You know, you should really get some sun in here, Weeg," Daisy said.

She threw open the blinds and Mr.L groaned in annoyance, covering his eyes.

"Don't call me that." Mr.L mumbled.

Mr.L scooted backward onto his bed and grabbed a blanket from it, wrapping it around himself before flopping down on his side. Daisy sighed and sat down next to him on the bed.

"You know that he's not coming back, right..?" Daisy almost whispered.

Mr.L harrumphed at her from beneath his blanket.

"That's what everyone said the first time they thought he was dead and look what happened!" Mr.L retorted.

"But that was one of his magic tricks. This was a serious accident at one of the most dangerous places in all the worlds." Daisy insisted.

Mr.L sighed in response.

"I know....." He murmured.

The man in green took a deep breath and sat upright, still holding onto the blanket wrapped over his head.

"I just... I can't believe he's... just gone..." Mr.L choked out.

Tears started to well back into his eyes and Daisy sighed in response. She scooted up next to him and wrapped him in a hug as he began to cry again.
