The sun was now rising over Flipside and Flopside, the remains of the celebration from the previous night littering the ground and streets below. Meanwhile, the Count of Dimension D stood at a window overlooking the streets from the hotel. He didn't have on his black cloak from the masquerading, but now wore a lavish lilac-colored cape with a silver-trimmed collar and a yellow heart-shaped charm at his neck. The count held a silver-gloved hand to his philtrum, holding a finger just to the tip of his small mustache.
The count stared distantly out of the glass, however, he was mostly caught up looking at his own reflection on the shiny surface. Behind him was a table that would soon be set for breakfast with his expected arrivals. One of the seats was already occupied by Oitnemid, who sat with his gaze down and his mask in his hands, tracing over it, as if not believing that he had actually been wearing it for many a decade. Oitnemid now had on a suit that a servant might wear, however, his was a white color that matched his hair, and his blue charm remained pinned at his collar.
"They're out in the waiting room," Oitnemid said in a flat voice, lifting his gaze to the count. "Why do you look so distraught? He's just a boy."
The count took a deep breath, not turning or even looking at Oitnemid.
"He's a means to an end," he stated, "but even so, it's hard to deny where he came from."
Oitnemid arched an eyebrow at him.
"You seemed to have quite the fond conversation with him yesterday, I might point out," Oitnemid replied.
The count shook his head with a small sigh, straightening his already starched collar.
"Sometimes it's even harder to remember that such a boy belongs to that tomboy nag of a tyrant," the count spat with a glare into the distance.
He waved his hand in a dismissive manner, turning around finally.
"Go fetch the boys, please. They have already arrived," the count politely requested.
Just then, a knocking came at the door and the clock chimed for eight. Oitnemid shook his head with wide eyes as he stood and walked over to the door.
"I still have no idea how in the worlds you can do that, brother," Oitnemid stated.
The count simply smirked in response with a small chuckle as Oitnemid walked out towards the door to greet the three guests.

Frank, Edalius, and Albert all stood fidgeting with their collars and sleeves as they waited for the door to be answered. The three boys wore their normal attire, although they all half-wished that they had more formal wear to meet the count in. Frank hardly seemed to care while Albert was half-fazed - mostly because he was taught to always be formal. However, none was more nervous out of the three boys than Edalius, who looked like he was going to melt from anxiety.
"Do you think we're dressed well enough?! Are we on time?! Frank! What time is it?!" Edalius exclaimed.
Frank narrowed his eyes at Edalius and curved his lip.
"Edalius, calm down. This is a breakfast invitation, not some fancy meeting," Frank stated.
"Yeah, but-!" Edalius started.
The boys were interrupted by the sound of a clock chiming and the door in front of them opened, revealing Oitnemid in his formal attire. Frank, Albert, and Edalius remained quiet as Oitnemid stepped to the side, gesturing them in.
