Back at Flipside, towards the outskirts of the town where Mr.L and Dimentio's former apartment sat, the man in green in question was trudging around the small home, his expression slightly downcast. Mr.L no longer wore his normal attire, and he almost looked completely like Luigi again. His jumpsuit was reverted back to his blue overalls and green shirt, his grey boots now brown, his grey gloves white, and his hat back to the normal facing L. It all seemed so bland to him.

The only thing of his that remained was his black half-mask over his eyes, and that mask had permanent tearstains on it now. His jumpsuit and such had been tucked away in a suitcase, buried underneath many more overalls and green shirts from his old life.

Mr.L walked to a large suitcase that laid open face on his bed, many of the aforementioned items folded inside. He went to his dresser and took a picture frame from it. The picture was large and in an extravagant frame, and the photo inside was Daisy and himself just after their wedding, during the celebration. He stared at the picture for a moment before setting it back down and picking up a different one.

This frame was far less fancy and rather small, made out of what looked to be sticks. The photo inside was small, and the picture was of himself and Dimentio smiling for a camera with their arms wrapped around each other, their star up in the sky above them. Mr.L smiled sadly at the frame and then tucked it in his suitcase, zipping it up as he did.

Just then, the door creaked open, and in walked Daisy. She hummed a little to herself as she glanced around, making a face at the interior of the room, clearly disgusted by it.

Also, by her side, she held a basket. A basket with a sleeping almost 3-years-old baby boy inside of it.

"Aren't you glad that you'll finally be out of this dump? I am." Daisy hummed.

"This isn't a dump. This is where Dim and I had lived together..." Mr.L murmured sadly.

"Yes, but it's going to be much better for you and this little guy once you're situated back where I live in Sarasaland," Daisy stated, bouncing the basket a little.

As soon as she nudged the basket, the toddler inside awoke with a pout and began to cry loudly. Daisy groaned a little as she set down the basket, picking the little boy up into her arms.

"He's so fussy." Daisy pointed out.

"Well... He is just a little kid." Mr.L replied in a melancholy tone.

"Yeah, but still!" Daisy said, "He's supposed to be able to talk by now like most kids his age!"

"The doctors said he has a speech delay, remember? He can still understand you perfectly fine." Mr.L reminded.

Daisy tried to soothe the baby only for him to cry louder, making her cringe.

"He never likes it whenever I try to comfort him!" Daisy huffed, "Here, Weegie."

She set the baby back in the basket.

"How about you calm him while you finish packing?" Daisy offered, "He seems to like you so much better!"

"It's probably nothing, we just adopted him, Daisy." Mr.L stated.

Daisy shrugged a little in response, turning towards the door.

"You're probably right, as always. Just be sure you get everything packed." Daisy chuckled, "And can you please take that mask off? It creeps me out..."

Without another word, Daisy left and slammed the door. The loud noise made the baby burst into louder tears and Mr.L quickly scooped him into his arms, trying to quiet him. The little boy slowly stopped crying as he looked up at him with wide curious eyes, earning a sigh of relief from Mr.L.
