saturday rolled around faster than i was expecting it to.today was the day i was finally going to be introduced to katsuki's family— and the thought had me scared shitless.
last night before i did my nightly routine– which basically consists of me showering and applying a few lotions here and there– i told mom, fuyumi and natsuo that i was going to be with katsuki all day saturday. mom and fuyumi smiled, wishing me a good time, while natsuo, on the other hand— had the audacity to wink at me while finishing up his last beer for the night.
though i was scared shitless about meeting katsuki's family, it wasn't that hard to find what i was going to wear. i highly doubted there was any recommendations online, or books for that matter on how to dress when your vampire boyfriend (?) formally asks you to meet the rest of his vampire family.
once i was done, i doubled checked myself in the mirror, deeming that i looked decent enough, and jogged down the stairs in an unfashionable manner.
mom and fuyumi were sitting at the table drinking tea when i walked into the kitchen. after greeting them with a small good morning, i went over to one of the windows and peeked my head through the curtain to see if katsuki was already waiting for me in the driveway.
and he was, to my surprise.
i quickly bid my goodbyes, grabbed my jacket and headed straight for the door.
"surprised to see you up, halfie" katsuki spoke with a smirk as i opened the car door.
i scoffed at his words, "gee, thanks"
"what?" he gloated, "it's true. s'not?"
i playfully rolled my eyes, offering him a small smile, "i s'pose so"
thankfully the car ride wasn't too long seeing as katsuki had told me that he lived a few minutes out of town. we both had our fair share of small talk about everything and anything. a few chuckles, glances and smiles were also thrown into the mix.
as we reached our destination, i was in utter awestruck. the house was magnificent– so beautiful that words couldn't describe how perfect it was, though it had to be at least a century or two old. the house itself was a soft, outdoorsy color. the structure was a good three stories tall, and the windows— god. it felt so open with how many windows were displayed around the structure.
"woah" i whispered as katsuki ran around the front of the vehicle to open my door for me, "it's beautiful".
he chuckled, "yeah?"
"yeah" i mouthed back, too stunned to even move.
katsuki then decided to take my hand into his as we marched up to the porch. i could tell it wasn't hard to sense my tension– the weariness flowing throughout my veins, seeing as katsuki squeezed my hand a few times in reassurance.
and then he opened the door for me.
and if i wasn't in awestruck before, then i was most certainly now.
the inside of the house was even more beautiful than the outside was. it was bright, open, and massive. the wall in the back of the house was completely made of glass. looking through it, i could see the outdoors beautifully.
walking further into the house, there was a large staircase that covered the west side of the room. the ceiling was high, most of the floors were strictly wooden and dark colored carpets were splattered around every few steps you took.
overall, the house was gorgeous.
and looked mildly expensive–
"this is incredible" i breathed, "it's so light and open, y'know?".
