A roller-coaster of sympathies part two

The wind hit against the fair skin that was his face, green hues squinted slightly at the speed the middle sister was going. It was fast for him because of his smaller size, while to Hestia it was probably moderate since she didn't seem all that affected by it. They were currently above most of the clouds that littered the heavens, allowing the warms rays of the sun to shine onto the exposed parts of his flesh, warming it and giving it much-needed vitamin D. While he could just barely see what was ahead of him thanks to the strong gusts that blew themselves against his eyes, making them water a bit at the sheer strength, he could only assume it was beautiful. From what he saw in between the rapid blinking of his eyelids, the sky was a gorgeous mix of yellows, reds, pinks, and oranges. One color faded to the next and so on, creating something he hadn't seen in years and, before coming to the surface, had merely dreamt of.

"Nice up here ain't it?" Hestia smirked, her six insect wings were littered with life-like flame tattoos that appeared to shimmer now with the sunlight filtering through them, flying at different paces at the same time.

"Yes..it's amazing! I've been gone way too long" the boy breathed, moving his short brick-red locks of hair away from his face.

Nadira, admiring the scenery herself, was also scanning the ground through the patches of green that peaked through the holes in the long stretch of cloud. Aqua hues glimmered just slightly when spotting the area that was chosen to be the new residence for the dying colony. She looked up ahead to her oldest sister, squeaking at her to get her attention. When receiving a look in her direction from Astrophel she motioned toward the ground with her head. The other glanced downwards only to spiral south in a wide barrel roll. Hestia decided to do a nerve-wracking plummet to mess with the boy on top of her head, snickering lightly at the scream that followed after. On the other hand, the baby of the family lightly glided to the location, landing beside a smug older relative.

"Alright, off you get!" grinned said relative, picking up the shaking adolescent and placing him onto the earth below, petting him on the top of his head tenderly with the tip of one of her claws, watching him glare at her slightly for scaring him, responding by playfully sticking her tongue out at him.

"Hestia now isn't the time to mess around"  Astro interceded between the two, moving Iker's body away with her tail, making him face the open field that lay in front of him "What do you think? I took into consideration how many people you told me there were, the various types, and what kind of buildings you would need to function in rebuilding society. Also, what kind of materials we're going to use, sources of food, and the area being generally remote."

The teen looked speechless. The flat ground stretched for miles, or that was how it felt to him. It was at the bottom of two mountains and the end of a valley, being shadowed by the two almost completely if it weren't for its opening into a  nearby lake, which would be the source of water. Just from a glance, he could see the fish that swam in the clear water, already picturing his older brother trying to scare the poor creatures or pranking him with a dead one's head staring at him whilst he slept, only to wake up with a heart attack. His hands went to the ground, feeling how moist it was as well as how luscious the growing grass was between his fingers. It was smooth like silk, a beautiful vibrant green, and quite firm, though still breakable since it was still grass.

"This is perfect. Thank you so much. Now when you said materials, you down mean stone and wood correct? We're going to need homes, plenty of them, and storage for food, water, and weapons. And probably a school, since there are kids in our colony and I know there is a teacher or two" Iker began rambling a bit, though was listing what would be needed, thinking only of the necessities.

"It was our pleasure. And yes, we will be. You might have to show us what kind of structures for the homes you need as I'm not exactly a professional in that area when it comes to humans" Astrophel noted.
