"Mothra!" Rodan shouted as the avian-like titan practically tore up the island. The two had been playing hide and seek, with the male being the seeker and the child being the hider. After giving a head start of two minutes, he took off to find the larvae. At first, Rodan just treated it as a typical game, taking his time to find her. But after a couple of hours had passed without any sight of Mothra, he began to put more effort, using all his senses as he no longer walked on the lush grass of the ground but soared just above the tallest trees of the land. His heartbeat was pounding in his ears as his hues scanned the ground for the larva.

"Where the fuck could you have gone in two minutes" he growled to himself, spotting a cave and thinking that she could maybe be there.

Rodan wasted no time in diving down towards the mouth of the rocky structure, landing and quickly going inside. His form illuminated the area while he went inside, only hearing the echoes of his footsteps and his own breath. However, there was no sign of the burden he was ordered to watch over. He of course didn't see her, nor smell her, or even sense her like he could with the other kaiju. Slowly, he left the cave, taking back to the skies as he continued his quest, snorting in annoyance at how long it was taking him just to find the infant. He had covered most of the island already and he still couldn't find a caterpillar. And this was the same creature that had once been dubbed the 'Fire Demon' by humans, what a shame. The sun was slowly but surely setting by the time he sensed her. His head quickly turned towards a small lake where he felt the source was coming from, wasting no time in diving down and landing a few meters away from the water.

"Mothra! Where are you? The game's over!" he called, pausing as he heard giggling from behind him accompanied by the scampering of many legs hitting against the ground.

"Chu found me!" the baby giggled, Rodan sighing in relief as he turned to face her.

"Yea after nearly 5 hours. You've been here the whole time?" he asked, to which she nodded "Wow. Good job hiding, but it's time to go home, you're probably hungry"

"Hungy!" the larvae cheered, climbing onto her guardian's back so that he could carry her home.

The fire kaiju chuckled at that as he flew back to the nest he had made for him and Mothra, quickly getting food for the child and letting her eat. As she ate, Rodan noticed how much larger she had become. She was growing, and soon, she would go into her cocoon.
