Whistling blew in one ear and out the other as pure ashen aileron anxiously drifted over the fluffy yet, white scattered clouds below that tried to hide the earth. The cool breeze was a welcome gift upon the sweating brow of the grand creature of myth as she flew back to her home. Sunrays above shone down onto her form, making the pallid and various shades of blue scales shine like a gem. However, they didn't hold a candle to the way the ocean sparkled as she descended to graze her talons against it. Aqua hues followed as the various species of fish swimming just beneath the surface of the water, their layers shining dully while they swam in schools. She was very careful, letting just the tip of her stubby ice-blue talons dip into the frigid liquid that she loved, her mood lifting when the salty-sweet smell of the waves filled her soul. It was truly mesmerizing how the water crashed and slammed against itself, and if she listened harder, the songs of whales only complimented it. The youngest Arias tried to purr with them, only daring such a risk because she was by herself. Her version was off-key and sounded like garbage compared to the whales, yet she continued, now allowing the tips of her wings to dampen by the vast body of liquid. A soft shiver trailed up her spine as her sensitive feathers came into contact with the chilly ocean, giggling softly to herself. If it were any other day, she would have eagerly dived in. Maybe even indulging herself in swimming until she could no longer be seen by those above the surface. But, she had a job to do. It took an effort to pull herself from her daze, facing forward once more and picking up the pace. Flexing her muscles, she watches as the world became a blur, not new to flying at high speeds. Both of the angelic wings that shadowed her and had grown to be bigger than the owner weren't just for show. They were made to carry her immense distances without weary and strain against most weather conditions. This is how she returned to her home so quickly, gently landing at the entrance as a gust of wind, originating from her, blew into the large mouth of the rocky structure. It took seconds for her to fold her wings back into their resting stance. Fins connected to either side of her head fanned out and shrunk back as she nervously entered the cave, the sound of her paws on the cold and smooth gravel alerting her arrival and making her presence known.
"Nadira?" A gentle voice questioned, instinctively soothing all her worries as she turned to see a twin set of golden headlights gazing at her from the darkness that the deeper parts of the cave conjured.
However, it didn't bother her, seeing as her older and much larger sister approached her with a gentle smile, greeting the youngest with a tender nuzzle to the cheek. The warmth that both radiated off her and came from within brought a bright, innocent smile to the whelp's face. The long, broad tail akin to a whale's shook in a slight wag like a dog's would when happy. When she pulled away, Nadira watched as confusion slowly played onto Astrophel's face. It wasn't an angry kind, just a general curiosity.
"Where have you been little sister" Astrophel chuckled softly, not phrasing it as a demand, nor a question.
Nadira replied with a stammering squeak, "W-with K-k-k-king G-gh-ghidorah!" she chirped happily, though fell quiet as Astrophel's face fell to an unreadable one.
"....I see.." the bi-colored beast murmured, pausing as she thought about how to word her next sentence carefully "What did you two talk about?" questioned the female, doing her best to sound sweet towards her baby sister.
Encouraged, Nadira beamed yet again "J-just i-if b-big sissy a-apologizes....th-then her and th-the scary h-head c-can b-be nice to each o-other a-again" she explained.
