When The Party Ends In Murder

Chapter four: Who killed Lin Stone

Matt stares at everyone is disbelief.

[Matt] Who was it? We need to know!
[Kaylie] We need to investigate!
[Matt] Great idea Kaylie.

She pulls her to another room, where they start talking.

[Kaylie] Who could have killed Lin Stone?
Who has a motive.. and who has an alibi..
We were all around the dinner table before the lights went out. Who knows if the murderer purposely put the lights out.. but how didn't we see anyone touch the light switch..
[Matt] Lucia could have hosted the party today because she knew it was gonna be bad weather and the lights could go out!
[Kaylie]. She didn't kill Lin though.. We were both holding onto that salad bowl during the murder.
[Matt] Right, right.. Well.. what about the staff? The cook, maids.. We should interview everyone!
[Kaylie] Well obviously..

They walk back to the living room and Kaylie takes Pamela with her while Matt takes Peter.

[Kaylie] What do you know about Lin Stone?
[Pamela] I don't know anything about her! I just know she was rich and beautiful and didn't deserve this!

Pamela wipes away tears and looks very traumatized.

[Kaylie] What were you doing during the murder?
[Pamela] Sitting in my seat like everyone else while talking to Peter!

She cries even more as Kaylie sighs, knowing it couldn't have been Pamela. At the same time, Matt is interviewing Peter.

[Matt] How do you know Lin Stone?
[Peter] I knew her father.
[Matt] Do you have any bad experiences with either of them?
[Peter] No, they're snobs, but I don't have anything against them.
[Matt] What were you doing at the time of the murder?
[Peter] I was talking with Pamela.

He lets him go and goes back to Kaylie.

[Matt] Well, their stories add up, they were talking to each other during the murder and both are most likely innocent.
[Kaylie] We need to interview more people.
[Matt] Definitely.

They walk out. Kaylie takes Lana with her and Matt takes Noah.

[Matt] What do you know about Lin?
[Noah] Nothing! I didn't do it Matt!
[Matt] Noah..
[Noah] Come on Matt, I've known you for so long! I wouldn't do anything like that!
[Matt] No one heard you talking during the murder, you could've went over to Lin and kill her.
[Noah] We all heard the foot steps!
[Matt] Could've been yours!
[Noah] It wasn't me Matt!
[Matt] Calm down!
[Noah] I wanna see Kaylie!

He runs away from Matt and goes to the room, where Kaylie is interviewing Lana.

[Noah] Kaylie!
[Kaylie] Noah?

Noah goes over to Kaylie and kisses her.

[Lana] So.. Is this over now?
[Kaylie] Yeah, you can go.
[Matt] We still don't know who it was. It could've been anyone! Even the people we interviewed already!
[Kaylie] I know. We need to keep investigating, because if we don't find out who it was, we could already be dead by the time our phones would work and we could call the police!
[Matt] We need to interview the staff too.
[Kaylie] I know.

They don't even know how much worse the situation will get later.
