When The Party Ends In Murder

Chapter 14: The knife room

The guests are in shock. Kaylie decides to continue helping Lucia and Matt investigate. She walks back to Tina's room. She looks around. She sees a bloody knife in a puddle of blood. She picks up the knife. Lucia walks in.

[Kaylie] It seems like they used a different knife every time. Could I visit the knife room? I want to go look for clues.
[Lucia] I guess you can..

Lucia gives Kaylie a key. Kaylie takes the key and walks out of the maid's quarters. She slowly walks up the stairs. She walks to the third floor. She walks to through a hallway. In the end of the hallway, she finds a door with a big lock. She opens it and walks inside.
The room is quite small. There are knives in glass boxes and knives attached to the walls. Some are from Japan, some are from Finland, some are ancient, some are brand new. Some are gold, some silver. Most of them have different shapes and
pictures carved into them. Strange. She notices spots with tags and no knives.
They must be the knives the killer took. She was about to walk out, when the door closes. She realises the door can't be opened from inside without the key. She left the key outside.
She pushes against the door but it won't open. She sits down on the floor.
She tries to bang on the floor to make everyone hear her, but no one is currently in the second floor, so no one hears her.
At the same time, Lucia is still in Tina's room. She's just staring at the puddle of blood.

{Lucia's thoughts} Why did this have to happen to us? We've lost so many people we cared about.

Lucia kicks the floor. She's not even sad anymore, she's just mad. She wants revenge.
Matt is outside. He's just walking around. It's the middle of the night, it's thundering and he's on an island with a killer. He doesn't care anymore. After this, he doesn't feel anything anymore. No one can blame him. He's traumatized.
At the same time, Kaylie is banging on the walls and the floor. She's yelling and screaming. No one can hear her. She turns to the knives. She walks closer to them and picks one up. Maybe she could pick the lock with one? She puts her finger on the tip of the knife to see whether it's sharp enough. She accidentally cuts herself. Her finger starts bleeding. She drops the knife. She picks it back up. She was about to go to the door and start picking the lock, when it opens. She sees Anne.

[Kaylie] Oh thank God Anne! I was stuck in here for so long!
[Anne] Oh, you thought I was going to let you out?

She laughs.

[Kaylie] What do you mean? And, why do you have that knife? Anne? Are you gonna kill me?
