Part 13

Mikey's POV

Its been a bit since the fight on Christmas. Everybody kept bugging me about going to the festival and when I asked why they even wanted me there all of them said that they just wanna make sure Yuu goes. Yuu has stolen all of my friends in less than a year. I mean who wouldn't be won over by her honestly?

Emma, Yuzuha, and Hina all talk her into wearing a Yukata. Me, Draken, Takemitchy, Mitsuya, and Hakkai, plus Mitsuya's two little sisters are waiting downstairs for them to finish getting ready and I have flashbacks to the last festival on August 3rd. So much has happened since then.

Mitsuya's two little sisters are hiding behind him up until the girls come downstairs. Yuu's eyes light up as she comes down the stairs and stoops down to their level. She looks so beautiful it's insane. "Hey there my name is Yuu. What's are yours?"

The smaller one speaks first, "I'm Mana", and then the other one, "I'm Luna, are you our big bros girlfriend?" I laugh but everybody has their eyes on Yuu and the two girls.

"Nope. I think your big brother is real cool and look up to him but he's like a brother to me too. Blondie over there is my boyfriend." She says waving her hand in my direction.

The two girls look up at Mitsuya and the older one says "Why can't you get a pretty girlfriend like her to come play dress up with us?" We all laugh at that one, Mitsuya's face going red. Before he can scold them Yuu speaks again "I can come play dress up anytime! Do you guys like playing dolls? Thats my favorite!", the girls nod. "Ok it's settled then, I'm definitely gonna come over to play!"

We walk to the festival, Yuu is carrying a bag and won't make eye contact or answer me when I ask about it, both of the little girls cling to her. I almost feel a little jealous but mostly I just enjoying watching her with them. When we get there we find Baji, Peh, Smiley, and Angry pretty quickly. Then we all go to write a wish on the ema (small wooden plaques used for writing wishes and prayers) I write mine "I want to be with everyone next year too".

I glance down at Yuu's "I want my family to be happy and safe" I melt. I pull her face towards me with both my hands planting a kiss on her lips. She leans into it and suddenly her vanilla smell overwhelms me, I wrap my arms around her getting more serious with the kiss when I hear multiple throats clearing behind me.

I turn my head and glare at them. Yuu laughs, it's like a bell ringing through the night.

"Actually guys I got you all something. I just got really nervous earlier when I thought about giving them to you so I ended up carrying them all the way here."

She fidgets with Shin's chain, and shifts on her feet, before opening the bag and carefully pulling out a small picture frame. "I've just never had any family photos ya know and when I got this printed I thought you all might want a copy too..." She hands out the frames, one for all us, I recognized the picture, everyone was in it. We had taken it on a day we had all gathered at the shrine just to hang out. Yuu and I were front and center and all of us were laughing and smiling. They all start thanking her at once, and she blushes.

"Oh and um well I found this at the shrine one day after a meeting" She says holding up a blue charm. I recognized that, it was the one we had bought when we first formed Toman. "Oh I have been looking for that!!!" Baji exclaims.

She bows. "I'm sorry for not returning it to you sooner!! I just wasn't sure which one of you it belonged to and well everyone was fighting at the time so I kept it safe."

She stands, handing Baji the charm back "And well uhh there is just one more thing..." we all wait quietly for her to keep going. "I just really wanted to say thank you... at first I was just trying to keep Ro's friends safe, and eventually as I got to know each of you I realized it wasn't about Ro anymore. I just wanted to protect all of you because I treasure you."
