Chapter one: Introduction
(Anne's POV)

Right now I'm in my new house. I have been unpacking my stuff since a lot of time but it is never ending. Oh by the way, I forgot to introduce myself. Hello everyone I'm Anne Miller, so let's first start with my physique.

I have most of the genes of my dad except one big one. My eyes, they're of ocean blue shade. A very rare one I'd say. I am 6'2 feet tall, Dad's trait. Girls can also be tall , boys. My hair are same as my dad.

Due to some unfavorable circumstances I have learnt karate and martial arts for defense purpose. I don't easily trust people as I have went through much already to trust anyone.

So I'll start from the beginning. My parents died nine years ago in a car accident. I was called from school but I didn't get to see their dead bodies.

I have a twin brother with whom I used to stay in my maternal aunt's home. My aunt was a software engineer and her husband was nothing in particular because he wasn't working. He took some part of her salary and used to drink literally everyday. He also got violent a lot to my brother. And when my brother won't be around he'd sexually harass me.

But I really loved my brother. We're actually twins but not identical. He changed his surname and took my mom's surname saying that the hierarchy should be existing. And doesn't wants one of the rarest surname to become non-existent. His words not mine. He was a mama's boy and I was a daddy's girl.

We both were very shocked at the news of their dying but Aunt Josephine really took our care like we're their kids only her own child was sent into boarding school and visited only once or twice. When she found out that uncle was harassing me, she started working from home and she used to get hurt by him. I really wished if we could go away, by we I meant my brother, aunt and me.

My aunt also had a son but he was never home. He used to come for hardly an hour or so. He said he was studying business and that's all I know about him. Nothing else like where he stays, where he studies, what he does. It is like he is my cousin but a complete stranger to me.

Last year we got to know she had leukaemia and wasn't gonna live longer. Her husband started drinking more, she always wished that after she would die we join in the Whitelocks University away from her home that was in New York City.

We eventually left her home and now I stay in a rented flat with a roommate who is gonna be here soon and my brother also stays on rent in another little apartment for himself and he also works along with the studying.

We had decided to stay apart from each other because if our uncle got to know then we'd be taken away. Now I'm in the last year of college. And after he earns enough for both of us, we'll probably go to some country even further from here maybe start a new life, away from him.

My mom and dad both were single child. My mom used to say that she fell in love with dad in the first meeting related to construction. Well, actually they both were CEO of their companies. Eventually they got married when they were just 22 and had twins that was me and by brother when they were 24. Unbelievable, yeah I know.

I also had a tiny crush when we were in my aunt's town. He was a really nice person at start. But little did I know that he didn't want me but my body and I dumped him. Not that we  were a thing in particular but then too. He used many ways to get through me, even forced me ones. He also locked me in the janitor's room for 3 straight hours. He and my uncle were the most horrible things that had happened to me. But once my aunt died, I left that town for good and I know nothing about him now. I don't even know if he's even alive or not. Not that I care of him in anyway but it just is that he is a walking danger from which I would love to stay away.
