It was awkward between Huey and Huelene on the way to iHop. Huelene fidgeted with her fingers, trying to come up with the proper words to say to Huey. When Huey's wife or ex-wife arrived, she had a lot going through her mind.

In her case, Adaline had a lot of questions, and she didn't know how to respond to all of them. Huelene was relieved when Huey arrived to save the day because he knew exactly what to say. Adaline was still his wife, and she liked Huey's awareness of how she might feel.

Even though Huey and Adaline were getting divorced, seeing her father with someone other than her mother was painful. Huelene was disappointed to learn from Huey's background check that he was already married to another woman and had children with her.

It was comforting to know she had siblings because she had always wished for brothers and sisters as an only child. And, according to Adaline, she has a younger sister named Jazmine, which is weird because that is her mother's name, and Huey seemed uncomfortable when Adaline mentioned it.

With Adaline questioning about her mother and Huey jumping in to say Huelene didn't know, there's a lot going on. Adaline had no idea who Huelene's mother was or what Huey's history was. Huey, she implied, would probably not remember who her mother was because he used to sleep around before they met.

Huelene wondered if he had sex with women before or after her mother, but she wasn't sure if she should ask Huey about it. Huelene had no right to know about any woman other than her mother with whom he had slept. But it hurt to know that her father was a bit of a hoe after her mother left him, but she could understand.

Huey was depressed because he lost the love of his life and she never came back. And what made it worse is she shortly died after she left.

"So what was that about back there?" Huelene asked.

"It's nothing, just forget about it," Huey suggested as he focused on the road.

"How can I forget about it. You just lied to your wife and you never told her anything about Jazmine," Huelene said as Huey sighed.

"Huelene, you don't understand, it's easier to leave things in the past," Huey said.

"Easier? Huey that's sad, no offense, but naming your daughter after your ex-lover is heartbreaking," Huelene said calling him out.

"I know, but at the time we were picking names and I remembered she asked me because she wanted me to be included and I came up with Jazmine with a 'z', and it's not my fault Adaline liked the name," Huey said trying to defend himself which made Huelene frown at him.

"If it was Jasmine with an 's' it would lay off the pressure but with a 'z'?" Huelene rhetorically questioned.

"Oh my God, that poor woman doesn't know her daughter is named after my mother, your ex-lover," Huelene said feeling bad for Adaline.

"How come you never told Adaline about my mom?" Huelene questioned once again.

"Huelene, you don't just intentionally bring your past into a new relationship, and forgive me for trying to move on," Huey tried to explain.

"I just can't believe it," Huelene said shaking her head.

"Huelene that's like you sleeping around before you met the one, and usually people don't like to date other people who been around the block, so you keep that to yourself to prevent drama from happening," Huey exclaimed.

"But drama might happen now Huey. What if Adaline finds out the truth about Jazmine and the reason why you named you guys' daughter after her?" Huelene wondered.
