"I'll start with when I first had seen Jazmine," James started."Don't you mean met?" Huey tried to correct.
"No, I mean seen, as in when I first seen her," James restated.

At the time I was 27 years old and about to be 28 in a couple of months. I had just started to make a name for myself around that time. I was already popular before in my area because I had become an intern at an early age.
Usually, people who graduate from med school are 26 years old. Then you have to be an intern for around 3-4 years before you can start your career.
I graduated from med school when I was 24 years old because I was highly intelligent. Before I started college I had already had some of my credits for it and it was easier for me to graduate early.
When I actually started my career as a doctor I didn't think I was doing a good job. I thought I was like all decent doctors and nobody couldn't recognize me for my work.
Your performance as a doctor reflects in your paycheck. I thought I was earning the same amount of money as everybody else but I had come to find out I was wrong. I was earning twice the amount of money they had ever earned as a doctor.
I didn't know why until I realized I had a lot of patients that requested me. They liked my work and how I got the job done, unlike other doctors. A lot of them were too sensitive and couldn't handle every new challenge that was thrown at them.
That's the thing doctors never understood when they chose their profession. They read about things in a book instead of doing the research on their own. I always admired the people who did their research and excelled in it because it truly showed that they were meant for their profession.
They could handle every challenge that was thrown at them and so could I. Being a doctor was simply thinking outside the box.
I remember it was the 4th of July and a friend of mine had invited me to celebrate it with him and his neighbors. His name was William Charles and at the time he had lived in Woodcrest, Maryland.
I met him in med school and he was 2 years older than me.
We were both at the block party that was hosted on his street. At the moment we were walking around just catching up on some things.
"How's work been?" he asked as I sighed.
"It's honestly been boring. Everything is too easy," I said uninterested.
"I wouldn't know how that feels. Being a doctor comes with challenges almost every day," William said as I shook my head.
"My challenge hasn't come yet," I said a little sad about it. Everybody thinks I faced a lot of challenges but I haven't been met with as many as I thought I would.
"Don't worry my friend, they'll soon come. You just have to be patient," William said patting me on the back.
"Yeah, I know," I mumbled. Patience isn't really my strength.
"How is your love life going?" he asked as I sighed once again at the question. All these questions he's asking are depressing for me. It doesn't feel like anything exciting is going on in my life, especially love.
"Not so good! I haven't had time for it," I simply responded.
"Like at all?" he asked.
"I mean, I go out to the bar and try to get laid but I'm usually unsuccessful," I said as he looked at me funny.
