"Why would you like a girl almost a decade younger than you?" Huey asked.

"I honestly don't know! It was never my intention to fall in love with Jazmine, it just all happened out of nowhere," James answered.

It was like any other day in the hospital. People come in sick, doctors and nurses check them, and then we get back to them with the information.

Normal Day!

When it came to nighttime at the Washington Hospital it was boring. Nothing exciting happened unless it was a holiday. For instance, on Halloween, teens and grown people come in intoxicated or damaged from some extreme stunts they pull, on Valentine's Day, a couple of men come into the hospital with a few of their body parts missing.

I remember I had to sow a couple of body parts back to their original spots. Some were easy to do while others were disturbing. It kind of made me afraid to do anything sneaky if I ever decided to date or get married.

Women are a force to be reckoned with!

I was packing up for the night so I could leave and go home. I didn't find nighttime shifts amusing so I rather go do something else to occupy my time. Like going to a bar, catching a movie, looking into a few diseases, or just trying to relax.

I could hang out with some friends but I don't have friends like that. I'm usually stuck at the hospital and I don't really talk to my coworkers like that. So I usually have an open schedule when I'm free.

So tonight I'm just going to go home and probably go to sleep since I have nothing interesting to do.

I was heading out of my office and while I was walking I had seen Jazmine leaving the locker room. She had a long sweater, fury boots, and a purse.

She was leaving the hospital and I had to catch up with her because I wanted to have a quick conversation before I left.

"Hey, Jazmine!" I called out her name. I was jogging towards her because she was very far and it was going to take a long time if I walked towards her.

She turned around and tiredly smiled at me. "Hey James!" she said as I stopped right in front of her.

My heart had skipped a beat and I just looked at her taken back. It was the first time she ever called me by my first name. She usually refers to me as Dr. Anderson, which she is supposed to do, but since we've been getting close I was alright with her calling me by my first name.

"Is something wrong?" she asked concerned. I liked how she cared about the most littlest things.

"No, I'm fine!" I assured her.

"Oh, okay...what's up then?" she asked.

"I was just trying to talk to you before you went home," I said as she smiled.

"Well, lucky for you, I'm not going to be going home tonight," she said as I looked at her funny.

"Why aren't you going home tonight?" I asked a bit concerned.

"I'm working a night shift," she answered as we left out of the building.

"A night shift? For what, you already worked all day," I asked as she sighed.

Jazmine tightened her sweaters around her waist and started to walk down the street as I followed her.

"James, things are just complicated right now," she said with a sad tone.
