The Mid-Exam results were just announced. I managed to get slightly above-average Grades. My total score was 417. But the truth is I was holding back my scores. If I didn't hold back, I could probably get my average score to reach the high 80s or low 90s thanks to Hirata's assistance. I just didn't want to attract attention.

My name is Matsushita Chiaki. I came from a well-off family and I had a pretty normal childhood. My father works as a Project Manager at an IT Company and my mother used to be a Civil Servant before giving birth to me. I decided to enroll in this school because I hear that the vast majority of the graduates here are quite successful. After graduating I would probably pursue art, maybe fashion design?

I wouldn't say that I was the smartest person in the school. But I say if I was to go all out, I'd belong in the top 10% of students. The same could also be said about my looks, I just try to not attract attention so people don't really notice me. I want a partner who can stand up next to me. You could say that my standards were quite high.

My house is about a 30-minute drive from school, so I'll probably go back home during the summer break and spend some time with my family and friends. I'm an only child after all and none of my friends from back in middle school attended this school.

Enough about me. Lately, there's someone who had got me really intrigued.

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka

At first, I thought he was going to be the extroverted, leader-type class representative who has 100 friends because of the commotion he caused during the first day of school. It turns out that he was actually somewhat similar to me, he just wanted to live peacefully. I knew from the beginning that he was the cunning and athletic type, and it was apparent to me that he was obviously holding back.

When Hirata sent the last year's questions, I was sure that he was not the only one involved in acquiring them. My prime suspect was Ayanokouji. If I were to guess, Hirata was the one who did the talking, while Ayanokouji was the one who orchestrated the plan. I think that's why his social contribution score was quite high.

But something completely unexpected happened when the Mid-Exam result was announced.

If you look at Ayanokouji's total score, then there seems to be nothing unusual. But look only at the Math score and it was apparent that he was going all out. I knew he was holding back, but I never knew that he was that smart. He might as well be the smartest person in the school. I wouldn't even be surprised if he was the smartest student in all of Japan.

Just what kind of person is this guy?

I am about to find out.

Story notes:

*There'll be 6 student reports each year (at the end of exam results)

*The reason for Kiyo's high Social Contribution score is because he basically helped the entire first year to get higher scores, and since he asked Manabu, the school knows.

*I didn't mention it earlier, but joining clubs might give you extra Social Contribution score depending on what you do.

*Unlike canon where the average student's score is 50, the score of an average student in this story is in the high 60s.

Afterwords:

While the student of ANHS just finished their Mid-Exam. Mine is about to start in a few days, so I'll probably be uploading like 3 more parts at most (Well, I might even upload none at all). Expect more regular updates in early May.

See you in a couple of weeks :D (or a few hours, lol).
