Matsushita's POV
I was sitting with a bunch of other girls from classes B and D. We were waiting for the event to start because it was delayed due to some technical difficulties. I have received news from our group that Horikita had won against Ibuki in the obstacle course event by a tiny margin.
A notification had just popped out on my phone.
(Open Chat - Red Team)
-sou11: "I have some great news everyone! We had just won the first round of the pole toppling event. It was a close one."
-nagumo: "Good job you first years!"
-nagumo:"Don't worry, Shibata-Kun. What matters is that you won, that should be at least an extra 13 points for our team."

-ichinami: "By the way, how are you senpais faring?"
-nagumo: "We're not doing so well... We have been losing recently. That Kiryuuin girl had really messed up our plan, she beat everyone at literally every event, that girl is basically unstoppable."
-hatsuharu: "Hmm... she is sure quite a surprise. If I recall correctly, she didn't really stand out when you guys were first-years right, Nagumo?"
-nagumo: "That's right senpai."
???: "*inaudible voice* "
I caught glimpse of my surroundings when the faint sounds of a person calling out my name could be heard.
"Hey, Chiaki-Chan!" I caught on to the situation when Maya shouted out my name. Everyone had left their seats and was going to the event area.
"Sorry, Maya-Chan..."
"Jeez... Hirata was literally calling out your name."
"Eh? I'm so sorry, Hirata-Kun."
"Don't worry, Matsushita-San. Let's go, the event will start soon." He said as he point to the direction of one of the gymnasiums.
Inside the gymnasium, we were greeted by some school faculty members. They were bringing some special suits for us to wear.
The suits looked similar to the ones worn by scuba divers. It had sensors all over the place to detect touch. In this game, you tag players by touching your opponent's body except for the head and private area. Participants with long hair are required to tie down their hair to at least neck level so that they won't have an advantage. A tagged player would have bright red strobe lighting at the back of their suits.
"Excuse me, it looks like my suit has malfunctioned." Said Ryuuen.
"Go grab one of the spare ones from the warehouse." Replied the faculty member.
"And be quick... We are already late on schedule." He continued.
Ryuuen then went to the warehouse unescorted. The faculty was acting recklessly because they were too busy preparing the event that was late on schedule.
I was now in a makeshift changing room with the girls from our team. The other team's starting point was on the other side of the gymnasium.
