Chapter 8.5: The Sports Festival - Part 4

Third Person POV

The sun was at its zenith. Its rays pierce right through the 40 students in one of the school tracks that had been modified into an arena. They were divided into two opposing which were further divided into four groups, with each group consisting of five people. Among those five, one of them was being held by their four other teammates. These students were participating in the Cavalry Battle, in which the rules had been slightly modified by whichever class had made this event. Nevertheless, the difference was noticeable.

Modified Cavalry Battle

Rules:

Each team would consist of 10 boys and 10 girls. A team then would further be divided into four units, with each unit consisting of 5 participants of the same gender. A unit would also consist of one commander and four horses. Every participant is also required to wear a headband respective to their team's color.

Players gain points by taking off their opponent's headbands. Both the commanders and horses are allowed to take off their opponent's headband. When a horse had already lost their headband, they are instantly considered inactive and should immediately leave the playing field. On the contrary, when a commander had lost their headband, their entire unit would be inactive. The match would last until all of the remaining active participants are from the same team.

Intentional acts of violence and the touching of the forbidden area would be punished accordingly.

Rewards:

Players would gain one point for every headband they took. Taking down the headband of the commander is the same as taking down the commander's entire unit's headband. The winning team would also be rewarded 5 points.

Both teams charged at each other as soon as the game started. The boys went straight into the girls because they thought that boys had the upper hand in this game. Both teams soon clashed with each other, they were throwing swings with their hands while trying to avoid their headbands from getting snatched by their enemies, who were also doing the same thing.

Just a few seconds in the game, Shibata, who commanded one of the units, singlehandedly took down an entire unit from the enemy team. This gave the red team an advantage and a boost to their morale.

"Nice one, Shibata-Kun!" Shouted Hirata, who was also commanding his own unit.

Unfortunately for the read team, their victory was short-lived, as a commotion had just happened.

"AHH!! What did you just do to me, you pervert!" Shouted one of the girls from the white team.

This caught the attention of the other participants, but they brushed off the distraction and went on with the game.

"Huh? I just grabbed your shoulder!" Said the red-haired guy, Sudou, who was being accused.

"You liar! You just grabbed my breast, you scumbag!"

It seemed that this matter was so serious that the school made the decision to temporarily suspend the event.

"What's going on here?" Said one teacher. 

"Sensei, this guy here touched my breast! Please do something!"

"That's not true! I only accidentally touched her shoulder!" He was pissed.
