Persephone's pov
______________________________________Several hours have passed since Haru's Great Tea Disaster, Persephone was sitting down on the branch of a wisteria tree, on her lap was an unfinished paper boat.
She averted her eyes from her paper boat and looked up to the clouds, was just her or did the sky have a strange red tint.
"Maybe the sun is about to set" Persephone muttered to herself, ignoring the fact that she knew it was too early for that to happen.
The wind blowing on her back became shaper and colder, she shivered and the paper boat slipped away from her hands.
"Okay" Persephone watched the orange piece of paper crumple itself in the harsh wind "This is definitely not normal"
She hopped off the tree and noticed tiny cracks growing in the tree bark.
"Tha-"
Persephone was interrupted by a scream.
Ari's scream. She ran towards her voice, the wind was so strong that there was debris flying everywhere.
The sides of her vision blurred and her hearing muffled, yet she could still hear the sounds of the wind chimes that Ari and Haru placed on the wisteria trees a long time ago, their gentle melody turning into a distorted noise.
Around her mantas and birds flew everywhere in disorganized patterns, she wanted to help them but Ari and Haru felt more important.
Persephone found them, Haru was trying to shield Ari from the flying debris by pushing her out of the way or through taking the hit himself.
"Ariadne!" Persephone called and Ari looked at her, Ari glanced at Persephone, here eyes were unusually filled with worry and fear."Haru, stop!" The sibling had to pull her brother's hair to pull him away from an approaching candle.
"You don't have to let yourself get hit to protect me-" She sobbed in Haru's ear.
"What do you want me to do!?" Haru snapped in frustration "tell the flying tree bark to kindly stop?"
Persephone didn't know what to do, she just stood there watching them fight in the worst time and place possible.
"That's not what I meant!" Ari yelled over the roaring wind "If you just listened to me for just one sec-" A big tree branch hit Ari on the shoulder, she screamed and fell on the dirt where Persephone noticed that the ground was covered in cracks.
"ARI!" Haru and Persephone yelled at the same time, both of them ran towards her but the ground chose that moment to split apart.
