Estella's pov

Estella was riding on kairi's back soaring through the wind together
Apperently Ari wanted to taste daylight prairie's famous fruits and berries Estella wasn't sure if any of those survived after the sudden darkness but she didn't want to let her new friend down

After some minutes flying Estella landed on a floating island near bird's nest, the island was known for being abundant in fruits but the trees seemed wilted like they have been filled with water too many times then left out in the sun too long, Infront of her was a batterd tree bearing lantern plum, a fruit that glowed bright orange with a crown that was color brown on the top making it look like a lantern hence the name. Estella wanted to collect them but the lantern plums looked like they were already rotten since their glow was now faint, the other lantern plums stopped glowing at all which was a clear sign that they were a lost cause. Estella sighed, scanning the other trees in hopes of finding spectrum berries
Which were Estella's favorite because of their taste (imagine chewy vanilla ice cream with the texture of raw cookie dough) after few minutes of searching she spotted the opalescent berries growing on a bush and collected a few of them

Cadence's pov

Cadence stared at her crumpled flower crown that look more like a pile of flowers that were ran over by a stampede and barely made it out of alive, her bright yellow eyes drifted to Ari's perfect flower crowns
"Aw,don't worry cade, your going to get it right at one point" Ari said as she completed another flower crown
"How am I supposed to get it right when your instructions didn't help at all" Cadence grumbled tossing the recked flower crown behind her
Ari removed her mask revealing an embarrassed pair of bright yellow eyes "I'm not really great at teaching and leading things" Ari said as she brushed hair that was blocking her face "you she should see what happened when haru left me in charge of the island I used to live in"
Ari shudderd as she said this which discouraged Cadence to ask what had happened that day "pushing that aside,what did you and your friends usually do before all this mess started" Cadence asked trying to change the subject "oh, honestly we do a bunch of different random stuff everyday that If I were to explain it all it would take centuries" Ari laughed
"How about you?" She then said when her laughter died. Cadence shrugged at her reply "same as you, Stella would take care of the mantas while me and Lydia would help her, Callisto, Estella told you guys about him right?" Ari guessed"he's the corrupted guy" Cadence winced at the way Ari said corrupted guy but she pushed that thought away "back then he would fly to this island that's somewhere between bird's nest and sanctuary islands. That place is filled with plants growing various fruits and harvest them all, after that he would he would come back with baskets filled with fruits" Cadence smiled at the memory but Ari's voice popped her little bubble of nostalgia
"This might be a slightly personal question but what did Callisto look like?" Cadence thought about it for a while before finally speaking "he has these weird tall earring things called tassels, he also had this habit of never taking off his blue owl mask unless he was sleeping, his hair was kinda spikey- remember one of the valley elders hair? It's somewhat similar to that. He's also the same height as Haru" Cadence paused then continued "annnnd I ran out of ways to describe him "you don't need to describe all of the details just the things that make him well him,I'm just asking this just in case we encounter him while he's corrupted- and hey look you made a flower crown!" Ari said pointing to the flower crown on Cadence's fingers looks like while they were talking cadence had somehow made a flower crown flawlessly
"Would you look at that, your an expert at this I told you that your going to get it right!" Ari said enthusiastically Cadence felt a twinge of pride as she smiled at it
