"...Markosious..."

Jintas soft voice which usually went unheard echoed through out the hall and the gathering became pandemonium. Jinta cowered and pulled her arms round her pups more as a mixture of flame, electric and plant rushed forwards. Jinta knew there was no chance her magicke would withstand such a bombardment. But instead there was nothing but a loud crash and the feel of discharging energy.

Opening her eyes they met a tirade of bewildered and furious faces but they wandered back to Markosious were he had pulled down the hood. His long black hair was inside the robe and Jinta guessed that he also had taken to growing his hair after the miscarriage of their child. It was a symbol between the two of them of how many years had passed, and that many more would also go by.

"You still look like the beautiful but lonely wallflower that I met you as."

Markosious' voice was still soft and caressing and the look of love on his face was still pure and un-tainted from dark magicke. Kneeling down he gently captured Jintas face and stroked her jaw. She shivered slightly as she felt the dark magicke in Markosious' blood attract to the white magicke in her own. But try as her soul screamed at her to Jinta couldn't remove herself from the blue eyed mans touch. It was Kahn that snapped her out of it.

"Let go of her."

His voice didn't rise above a normal level of speech but embedded deep inside of the soft yet rough tones there was a threat in it. Shana hid into Jintas side and whimpered. He did not like this new mans prescence, and he shifted uncomfortably his face pressed into Jintas side. She stroked his hair to calm him but it had little effect.

"Come with me Jinta...let's live together again...love each other again..."

"No...Markosious..."

Before another word escaped Jintas lips and Kahn could attack him Markosious grabbed Jinta by her waist and pulled her out of her dogs grasps. Shana cried out in surprise and Kahns lips pulled back in a snarl. Jinta had no choice but to cling onto Markosious for safety as they were 12 feet in the air. Markosious' gaze never left Jintas and only intensified when she asked to be let go of.

"No. I will not let go of you...I won't ever let go of you. You were my moon in a star-less sky, you granted me a gentle light when no one else would...you still do..."

Jinta closed her eyes and rested her forehead into his chest. Words that had once been so beautiful coming from the mans lips were now heart wrenchingly painful and tears cascaded down her cheeks.

"Please stop Markosious...your words are only painful to me now..."

The citrine eyed witch flinched when she felt Markosious' grip tighten on her. The dark magicke in his blood attracted to the white magicke in Jinta so strongly she whimpered in pain.

"Because of you! Why do you think I ended up like this?! You cast me away like a toy when you found out I was using black magicke!"

Jintas heart tore itself into parts and her hands instinctively rested on his forearms to comfort him like she had in the past.

"Please stop shouting Marko..."

As Markosious calmed down he noticed the livid marks he had created onto Jintas arms and the tears that had started to slowly dry up on her cheeks his eyes saddened and he cradled her close. He knew that when he spoke the words a little more of the love she had for him would die.

"If you don't come with me I will destroy everything that holds you here. The same if you plan escaping from me."

Jintas grasp tightened on the mans arms and she looked at her dogs, no, sons longingly and agreed to Markosious' conditions. As he opened a portal to were ever he wanted to take her Jinta charmed two strands of her hair and they morphed into two thin silver bangles and dropped them to her sons. Then she disappeared with Markosious and the portal smashed shut behind them.

Beneath were their witch disappeared Shana and Kahn caught the thin bangles. Shana whimpered slightly and hid into Kahn before an angry mob of witches and sorcerors besieged them. Neither of them understood what was going on so understandably they bit, scratched, kicked and punched at the people pulling them apart. Shana could hear his heart beat in his head and he was very aware that he didn't want to be seperated from Kahn. But not even Kahns ferocious brute strength could overcome the witches and sorcerors surrounding him and both dogs were struck unconcious. As they lay on the floor vulnerable a man stepped forward and brushed Shanas cheeks. For a creation Shana was a truly exquisite specimen. Turning to the beak nosed man he smiled.

"How much money do you want for him to disappear?"

Watching the bronze skinned sorceror knelt over the human dog beak nose, whose name was Arisse rubbed his jaw.

"160 Rubies."

The sorceror smiled and threw Arisse a bag and picked the sable haired dog from off the floor.

"You can sell the other one. He'll be useful for his strength."

And with no more conversation, the bronze skinned sorceror walked out with his new prized possession and his apprentice followed suite.
