Shana looked away from the two men embracing one another on the floor and held onto the sleeves of his dress. Tears were prickling at his eyes and he blinked them back.

Freya noticed the sable haired young man was feeling out of place and gently took his arm.

"Lets get you into some comfortable clothes. That dress must be really uncomfortable to stand in, all damp like that."

Shana nodded and let the grey haired woman push him gently to a dark blue bedroom. He didn't panic when Freya undid the back of his dress and he let it fall to the floor before stepping out of it. However he blushed slightly when Freya embraced him with a towel in her arms.

"There, warmer?"

"Uh...yes ma'am."

Smiling, Freya rubbed Shanas back dry and let go of it once he took hold of the towel himself. But it was his hands that finally caught her attention. On the back of them, embedded into the German Sheperds skin was a pair of ivory pentagrams.

"Oh my, you're a purist of white magicke...if I'd have known..."

Shana looked at her then sat down on the floor pulling the towel round him. He didn't like people treating him all high and mighty. It didn't feel right to him. It was one of the only things that Myriam made him do that he'd enjoyed and was told that he had a natural affinity for. Shana had dreamed of breaking free from Myriam, to take Kenneth along with him as well. Thinking about the dark haired apprentice, Shana had no choice but to let out a strained sob. The boy had done nothing but be helpful, following every rule to its exact guideline so that Myriam wouldn't get mad at any one. There was even a time that Kenneth had to see off a group of thieves...he was injured severely but still reported to Myriam before being healed up. It was one of the only times that Shana had seen Kenneths fake self slip and the real boy underneath show. It had also seemed that Myriam noticed too and did not like the thought of a past date specimen being fiercely in love with him.

Freya knelt down and pulled the young man in her arms, hand brushing through thick well taken after hair. She felt sorry for him. It was obvious Shana was in pain for a number of different reasons. She just didn't know what they were and she didn't want to pry either.

"I'll go get you some clothes. Then you can have a good nights rest no?"

Drying his eyes Shana nodded and stared at his feet whilst she was out the room. He felt lonely with just himself. The amount of times his head had been clotted with drugs it had taken away his ability to be comfortable with himself.

Downstairs Kahn was stroking Joeys back gently in an attempt to stop his crying. He sighed gently and kissed the young mans cheek.

"Joey, I'll sleep inside tonight. So please stop crying..."

The young man snuffled and nodded his head. He was tired from worry and he wasn't going to turn down Kahns offer of sleeping inside. His arms gently wound round Kahns neck as the man lifted him from the floor and cradled him safely to his chest. Kahn walked upstairs with Joey holding onto him. He really loved the young boy, to a point his heart would ache. It would also be the first time he had ever stepped foot into Joeys room. He took a quick look around after setting Joey on the bed and smiled when he was hugged from behind. The room was decorated with enchanted fairy lights and there were flowers in a multitude of different vases covering most surfaces. Kahn thought it was very much like Joey to have pretty things tucked away in his room.

"You've certainly got an eye for nice things."

He let Joey pull him down onto the bed and they both held each others hands. Kahn smiled as he watched the young man fall asleep. He had never been so happy to be by someones side except from Shana and Jinta. Although it had taken him a long time to do, in one of his pockets was a silver bracelet set with gold topaz and black sapphires. It was for Joey, to celebrate being together for 5 years. It was just that he would never be able to give Joey his full heart. Because if he gave Joey his full heart, he was scared the boy would run away from the darkness he hid inside. A seething anger that would sometimes churn so fiercely it scared Kahn himself.
