Sitting down at the table Shana played with one of the spoons. He was trying to take his mind off Kahn and Joey. They were being cute and lovey dovey with one another. Some where deep in his stomach it made him feel sick. He didn't like to see their hands touching gently. He sighed and bit his lip slightly, his stomach growling out of hunger and something else. He just couldn't tell what.

Joey chuckled slightly and set down a small plate of food in front of Shana. He had made sure to put a fair amount of eggs on it seeing as Kahn had told him the feminine man liked eggs. He couldn't help but smile as the man tucked in with gusto. Watching out the corner of his eye Joey smiled knowing that Kahn was enjoying his own breakfast. It wasn't often he got to cook for more then family so he was impressed with himself when Shana chowed the whole plate full of food down. Chewing a piece of toast Joey set down his plate on the table and looked up at Kahn. The older man smiled at him and patted Joeys head.

"Why don't we do some horse riding today? All three of us."

Joey couldn't help but raise his brows, normally horse riding was just for the two of them and no one else. It felt intrusive for Shana to be able to join them. He wanted horse riding to remain for them and them only. Kahn sensed his agitation and backed down instantly. He didn't want to create a situation between himself and Joey. It was one of the last things he wanted to do, he just wanted to help Joey and Shana become friends. Dropping his gaze Kahn looked at the flagstone floor, his heart clenching in pain. He loved Joey so much that he would do anything for him, even disappoint his estranged best friend.

Shana could feel the tension in the air and it was making him feel sick. Getting up he pressed a hand to his stomach and walked out of the kitchen. Walking to the downstairs bathroom Shana flung the door open and slammed to his knees, bile filling his throat and mouth. He really hated the thought of Kahn and Joey being lovey dovey, but the agitation he'd just felt? That had pushed his limit. Retching heavily Shana could feel tears trickling down his cheeks, the disgusting acid taste flooding his mouth. He knew already deep to the core of his soul that Kahn was completely in love with Joey and it was devastating.

"Shana?!"

He felt warm broad hands stroke his shoulders, one of them thoughtfully scooping his hair out of the way. If Shana had of felt himself, a snarky remark would have slipped past his lips but it didn't. He hadn't felt like himself for a while now.

"Why? Why bring me here?"

Shanas voice was croaky, his throat tight from the strain of throwing up. Yet he wanted his question answered, why had his friend brought him to a house were love had surrounded him for 5 years? He knew Kahn had seen the possesiveness in Myriams eyes that night. It was painful to see Joey and Kahn look at one another so lovingly when he had watched an unrequited love unfold before his very eyes. That he was now feeling an unrequited love, going through the very same pain that Kenneth, the dark haired but warm amber eyed apprentice had done. Tears kept falling down his cheeks as his eyes met Kahns. Kahn managed their gaze and wiped Shanas mouth.

"Because...you're my family, my brother. I wasn't going to leave you."

Fresh tears fell down Shanas cheeks as Kahns words confirmed his worst fear. The love he wanted was not the love he was getting.

"But I don't think of you as family. I haven't even been here a day and I don't like seeing you and Joey so close to one another."

Shana watched as Kahn grew confused and he couldn't help the feeling of love bubble up inside. He knew that Kahn was hopeless at figuring out problems that included other peoples emotions. Leaning in, Shana pressed his lips to Kahns.
