Kahn tied Gable and gently patted the horses nose. Hansel had written a list of spices and herbs that he wanted Kahn to collect from the market. Witches and sorcerors got out of his way quickly as he walked to the stall were he usually bought the herbs and spices from. Picking through them and only selecting the best condition herbs and spices, Kahns eyes were distracted by the person next to him. Their hands which weren't covered by the steel grey cloak were decorated with pentagrams but the ivory on them was discoloured and looked just about the same colour as the cloak. Kahn withdrew his hand from the herbs as the person stretched out to get the very ones Kahn had been looking at.

"He will kill you."

Kahns back stiffened and he glanced at the figure his eyes narrowing as he recognized the eyes beneath.

"You've taken a possession from Myriam, he will do anything to reclaim it. He will crush that small farm with fires that will reduce even the ground to ash."

Kahns breathing shallowed from the surge of anger and fear battering at his mind and squeezing his lungs until there was little air inside. The eyes from underneath the hooded cloak pierced into Kahns soul and unlocked the unbridled fury buried deep under his heart. Kahn grabbed the cloaked figure and raised them a good foot in the air. Kahns lips pulled back in a vicious snarl and his eyes flooded with deepseated anger, turning his usual chocolate brown eyes a dark almost red like colour that promised pain.

"Shana is not a possession! He is a living, breathing human! Just like I am! And I will crush that fucking sorceror like the pest he is!"

Dropping the cloaked figure to the floor, Kahn stormed off, his body tense and his eyes sharp looking for someone or something to take his anger out on.

Watching the young man storm away, the crowd parting around him as if they were the red sea Markosious picked himself off the floor and only turned when comforting hands touched his shoulders.

"Are you okay?"

Markosious's eyes softened as they met Jintas and he gently stroked his fingers across her cheek. The white witch closed her eyes and lifted her hand up to his, fingertips gently tracing the discoloured pentagrams on the dark sorcerors hand.

"I owe you my thanks, I've yearned to see how they were doing."

Markosious closed his eyes and let out a soft but long sigh as Jinta traced the mark of his sullied magicke. He let himself absorb the womans gentle and delicate touch before suggesting they should leave.

"Let me collect some different ingredients and then we can go home."

Markosious smiled, his eyes softening into a lake blue. Jinta blushed ever so slightly and averted her eyes to the flower crest embroidered into the front of his cloak just over his heart.

Kahn untied Gable quickly and in his haste snapped the leather. Gable whinnied, unsure about Kahns haste but broke into canter on Kahns command. The young man narrowed his eyes against the rushing air, fear still hammering inside his head and attacking at his heart. He didn't bother opening the farm gate once he was home, he just got Gable to jump it and dismounted the horse as soon as they were close enough to the house. Hansel backed off as Kahn raced past him and into the home, Freya casting him a look of confusement from were she was weeding the flower bed.

Throwing Joeys door open, Kahns heart started to settle down into a normal rhythm. Joey was stood looking shocked holding a towel to his chest, water dripping from his freshly washed hair and onto the floor. Sunlight that was filtering into the room cast a golden aura about Joey, making him look like a angel. An omen that Kahn wished to rip apart. As his arms stretched out to him, Kahn hated the length of time it took his rough hands to capture Joeys face and pulled the boy out of sunlights grasp and into his own shadowed arms. Leaning down slightly Kahn pressed his lips to his lovers and felt the young mans hands rest on his shoulders, lips moving in sync with such a feverish kiss. Joey went to ask what had brought on such desperation but his words became of no use as Kahn gently brushed his lips down pale skin and over Joeys collar bone and down to his breast bone. He gently stroked the mans hair back, not aware that his touch was what Kahn had feared to be torn away amongst the delicate, beautiful heartbeat and a voice so gentle and calming that it eased the ugliness that Kahn carried around in his heart. The boys cheeks flushed as Kahn lifted him up with ease and Joey slipped his knees either side of Kahns broad body for reassurance that he wouldn't fall. His blush only deepened as Kahn rested his lips against Joeys heart and stroked his back with one of his rough, gentle hands. The young man was unsure of Kahns mood and motive but he knew that it would be safer to stay quiet in such a loving moment. A drop of water fell from his hair and landed onto Kahns cheek. Joey moved to wipe it away and found himself being lowered onto his bed and smiled shyly as Kahn knelt up to his height. He could still see the pain inside of Kahns eyes and he gently brushed his fingertips under them.

"I'm sorry..."

Kahn gently moved forward and captured Joeys lips, his brow creasing slightly as Joey didn't respond back. Pulling away Kahn looked at his younger lover and Joey stared back in dumb confusement as a thin trickle of blood leaked from the corner of his mouth. His hands which had been settled on Kahns broad shoulders slipped off and he finally swayed sidewards, his back no longer able to support him. Kahn caught him, asking him to speak but Joeys mind was already far too gone to comprehend what was happening as his brain haemorraged.
