"Get up" Viserra's labored breaths commanded her favored Dornish guard, Jovan. Slowly he lifted a knee and pushed to stand with his spear. Viserra watched as the beautiful bronzed man's chest glistened with sweat as exhaustion started to show.
She paused for a moment and just watched as he readied himself. Her hands relaxed slightly as she took in the sight. Exhausted, Jovan readied his spear and waited for the Targaryen shewolf to strike.
They had been at this for hours, long before the sun began to rise. Viserra's mood did not lessen throughout the night. This was apparent when she stormed into the guard quarters and woke Jovan up to train. It would be a long day for the both of them.
Viserra had nearly worked out all of her anger and frustration. She took in the sight in front of her. Slowly a bead of sweat drip down the dips and valleys of his toned bare stomach. He was very handsome and quite fit. Part of the reason she favored Jovan to train with her was ability to read people. He was quick and cunning. He usually anticipated her attacks and she loved the challenge. The second reason was his resilience, and not only in combat. There was no doubt in his attractiveness. He had been approached by many women and men, and all of them he refused. Including Oberyn and Ellaria.
When she heard of his rejection of the pair, something inside of her wanted to claim him. His attraction to Viserra was obvious. His longing looks and compliments always earned him a stern look and hidden smile.
Although at times she was tempted, she could never see herself bedding him. Not when he always brought forth the faint memory of a blacksmith boy, with black hair and blue eyes crossed her mind.
Jovan and Gendry looked nothing alike, not even similar in personality. Yet something about Jovan reminded Viserra of him. Gendry. The bastard son of King Robert. The boy she befriended.
On nights where exhaustion consumed her and allowed her mind to wander, it would always find its way to him. Some nights she dreamt of when they went drinking at that tavern, and she had gotten piss drunk. Sometimes she could feel his muscled arm around her waist keeping her balanced and holding her close. Viserra had his face engrained into her mind since that night. She had pulled his face toward hers and stared into his steel blue eyes. She could feel the draw of them, like a river's current slowly pulling her deeper. Viserra's heart had pounded in her chest and her stomach twisted in knots. While she did in fact expelled her stomach contents over floor, ruining whatever moment had occurred between them, she knew what she was beginning to feel. In such a short amount of time Viserra had cared for Gendry and given time she could love him.
Gendry was the only good that came from King's Landing.
"My Lady?" Jovan's voice brought her back from her thoughts.
"We're done" Viserra tore her glance away and handed her two swords to the nearby squire. "Get cleaned up"
"Are you sure?" Jovan wiped his brow and gave a boyish grin. "I could still take some punishment" He knew as well as all of the Dornish guards what had transpired last night. Jovan knew she needed a distraction. She needed this. The physical intensity that came with fighting, not fucking.
"It's training, not punishment." Viserra said as she sipped water.
"Today it is" he raised a brow. "It's just not my punishment. I'm simply a stand in". His grin still in place he winked at his Lady.
To say that Viserra and Oberyn were two very passionate, would be an understatement. They spent the rest of the day fighting. Viserra was enraged that he wouldn't see reason. Having Oberyn on the small council would complicate matters, and he couldn't or refused to see it. He couldn't see the fear in her as she thought of the last time someone she loved served on that same council. As she served on that council.
