Viserra arrived at the tower of the hand earlier than she was asked. It had been so long since she was able to walk without guards following her every move. She was aware that now her steps were still being watched from the shadows.

"Lady Viserra, a pleasure." Lord Varys spoke as he also arrived at the tower. "What brings you here so early in the morning?"

"I could ask you the same lord Varys."

"I suppose we are here for the same reason, to pay lord Tyrion a visit."

"Are you expected as I am?" Viserra raised her brow.

"Sweet girl nothing in King's Landing is expected." Varys motioned Viserra to lead and the two made their way upward. Once they reached the door Viserra knocked and she felt strange. She never had to knock before. That was a different time. Before she could give it further thought a woman answered the door.

Petite and short haired the woman looked confused at the pair. She was pretty, Viserra thought.

"What?" the girl spoke. It was obvious to Varys and Viserra that she was one of the common people. The lack of manners and body language made it painfully apparent.

"Is lord Tyrion here?" Viserra responded and realization crossed the woman's face.

"Oh he said you would be by." She moved aside and allowed the two to enter. "He should be back soon. I'm Shae"

"Viserra"

"You are a beauty my dear. I am lord Varys" the spider held the woman's hands between his.

"Please sit" Shae offered and the three of them sat around the small table. Viserra stayed quiet as Varys and Shae talked. Varys was very charming and listened as Shae told him how she met Tyrion. Their conversation came to a halt as the door opened and Tyrion surprised as he look at the scene in front of him. Varys stood greeting him.

"You make me wait a long time, but your friends keeps me company" Shae spoke coyly as she ate a small grape. Viserra noticed how Tyrion's demeanor became anxious the more he looked between Shae and Varys. The young Stark kept quiet as she watched the scene unfold in front of her. The silent conversation between Tyrion and Varys was most entertaining. Varys and now Viserra had discovered daresay a weakness in the form of this lovely woman.

"I am glad your new friend was able to accompany you to the capital" Varys' tone almost seemed sincere. "Friends are such an important part of life" the spider now looked between Viserra and Tyrion. "Unfortunate that your father didn't want her to come" he continued. "But rest easy, my lord. I am very good at keeping secrets for my good friends" Varys again looked between the two. Viserra narrowed her eyes at him.

"Your discretion is legendary..." Tyrion answered. "Where your friends are concerned" Viserra could sense the distrust casting a shadow across the room.

"How unspeakable of me to go on when all you want to do is rest" Varys now speaking to Shae stood up. "I will leave you" Varys took her hand and bid her farewell. Tyrion motioned to Viserra to follow, which she returned with an annoyed look. Varys mentioned the council meeting and the three began to depart when Tyrion stopped Varys.

"I don't like threats" Below a whisper Tyrion spoke.

"Who threatened you?" Varys looked to Viserra confused.

"I'm not Ned Stark" Tyrion looked at Viserra to his side. "I understand the way the game is played."

"He was a man of honor" Viserra defended.

"And I am not" He spoke without looking away from Varys. "Threaten me again and I'll have you thrown into the sea"

"You might be disappointed in the results." Varys now blocked the exit. "Storms come and go, the big fish eat the little fish, and I keep on paddling"
