It didn't take long for Viserra to get to the Street of Steel or to figure out which shop the young apprentice worked at. She was still curious about him, why did he look so familiar and why did Bantis react the way he did. Bantis responded to him in a way she had never seen before. Usually Bantis would ignore most people he didn't perceive them as a threat. She made it into the shop and could feel the heat radiating from the furnace. Viserra noticed Gendry working by the anvil and an older man approached her.
"Good day m'lady, something I can help you with?" The man asked as he wiped his rough hands into a cloth.
"Yes, I was hoping to speak with Gendry about some work." with that the older man who she would learn to be Tobho Mott called Gendry over. The boy walked over with a smile and a look of disbelief as he approached the young Stark.
"Didn't think I'd see you again." Gendry mimicked Tobho and wiped his dark hands in a cloth and smirk toward Viserra. "Your wolf isn't going to sneak up on me is it?" Viserra let out a chuckle.
"No, he's out hunting" she assured. "and was our last encounter so horrible that you considered to never seeing me again?" Viserra said coyly. She found Gendry to be very attractive and the way he spoke to her as a person and not as a highborn made her respect him.
"Well I was almost attacked by the Lannisters and your wolf tried to eat me." Gendry was a smartass.
"Bantis wasn't going to eat you."
"Aye he was, he even tasted my hand." He raised his hand as proof.
"If Bantis was going to eat you he would've stalked you that night and waited until you were alone and vulnerable." Viserra smiled as she crossed her arms.
"Well that's a relief." In his sarcastic tone she realized the two of them were going to get along just fine. "So, what can I help you with Lady Stark."
"I told you, just call me Viserra none of that lady bullshit." Viserra rolled her eyes at the thought of unnecessary politeness. "I need two swords both equal in length, similar to these." Viserra unsheathed her swords and handed one of them to Gendry. Gendry examined every part of the sword presented to him and admired the craftsmanship.
"These are good swords, but whoever made them didn't temper the steel enough. See there, that crack at the base. One good swing at this point here and it would shatter." Gendry was only an apprentice, but he was very skilled in this artform. As he showed Viserra the crack in her sword, her eyes wondered to his face. She noted how he cared for his profession. "If I start today, they would be ready in a week." His blue eyes met Viserra's, she saw the familiarity again and tried to place him.
"Could you make one dragon and the other a wolf pommel?". Gendry could see the flecks of violet in Viserra's eyes and continued to admire them as he spoke.
"Aye that could be done." Gendry broke his gaze. "It'll take longer."
"One last request?" Viserra added.
"Would you also like it made of Valyrian steel?" He snidely asked.
"How well do you work with dragonglass?" It was a strange request and one Gendry was excited for. He has never worked with dragonglass, so the opportunity to work with new material made it his priority. The pair talked for a while after and it was settled. Viserra would return with the dragonglass the next day and he would incorporate it. The day was late and Viserra missed her opportunity to find research on dragons eggs. She rode back to the Red Keep and was greeted by Bantis back from an obvious successful hunt. His coat was dusty, and his paws matted in mud. Jory agreed to bathe Bantis as she spoke with her uncle who was expecting her. She reached the table and sat down next to Arya.
