Luckily, Charlotte came to the rescue of me and Daniel both wanting to cancel tonight's plans. Once I had my pink dress on and had just started taking down my makeup downstairs so I could be social as well as being the host of having Daniel and Charlotte here, me and Daniel got interrupted by my phone calling.

While we waited for Charlotte to take the elevator to my floor, Daniel asked if he could start making whatever drinks I had in mind, mostly because I got the feeling that he felt a bit out of place to just sit and watch me do my makeup in the meantime.

So with Daniel in the kitchen, and me running upstairs to grab my eyeshadow palette that I somehow forgot to bring down with me, the doorbell was heard and without me even asking Daniel to open the door, I was met by the sound of two people speaking, giving me a smile on the lips. Not only because of having my two closest friends, one of them being a bit more closer, in Monaco at my place, but because I knew that I was comfortable enough to leave those two alone downstairs, both being outgoing and social.

With my bare feet touching the wooded floor of the staircase on my way down, I found Charlotte sitting in the sofa, a drink in her hand while she already seemed to be in a discussion with Daniel.

"Char!" I beamed once I reached the bottom floor of my apartment, already making my way over to her to give her a massive hug.

A small laugh interrupted us in our squeals of checking out each other's outfits, making us both turn our faces to Daniel who leaned against the kitchen counter, two glasses in his hands as he watched the scene in front of him. "I thought you two worked together, but all of this," he started while moving his pointing finger in a circle towards us, "makes me believe that you two haven't seen each others for months."

Both me and Charlotte bursted into laughter, still holding each others arms before Charlotte blurted out, "Daniel, this is how women greet each other. Not with a fistbump and some macho-wannabes or whatever you guys do!"

After Daniel's huge eye-roll, and a playful snort coming from his lips, we all bursted into laughter before I had them two sitting down around my coffee table together with me, all of us sipping on our gt's while I tried to make some kind of makeup, good enough to stay on this whole night, a night that surely would be long, sweaty and make my stomach hurt from laughter.

It was with relief that I found both Michael and Blake in the restaurant when we eventually arrived, and that we weren't too late with our arrival.

After drinking our drinks, we started chatting about Daniel's career, he asked Charlotte about her job, even though he probably had most of the answers after all the conversations he had spent hours on with me. But it was nice for me to see that they got along, and I thanked myself that Charlotte didn't ask questions about us two. Not because I had anything to be ashamed of, and she knew all the details already, something that Daniel probably had figured out since that's what women often do, spill the gossip and all details that happens in our lives with our close ones.

But she did slip some comments about us, when he helped me inside the cab that we booked way too late to be in time, how she noticed his hand slipping behind his seat to be able to feel a touch of me even though he was sitting in the front of the cab, while me and Charlotte got to sit in the back to chat while he spent the few minutes to entertain the taxi-driver who of course recognised Daniel once we came outside.

Once inside the restaurant, we weren't a big gang, only us three, Michael and Blake and two other friends of theirs. And they seemed to all have the same mindset, the same humour and they all invited me and Charlotte into the conversations even though most of the times I didn't keep up with what they were talking about.
