A light knock on my open door of my office interrupted me from my daydream, only for me to find a smirking Charlotte standing there. I had no idea for how long she had stood there watching me as I got lost in my thoughts, memories from my trip to St. Tropez with Daniel taking over my attention from my work.
"Still dreaming about your little get-away with Daniel?"
Rolling my eyes at my friend and colleague, I didn't even have to answer her before I invited her inside my way too plain office, no personal parts making it still feel like my own. I knew that once I had time, I would take a day to put up some pictures on the white walls that surrounded me, the only things in here except for my desk that contained my computer and a messy pile of papers and pens, was some shelves containing maps and binders with important info that I couldn't save on my computer only.
"Char, it was exactly what I needed for not going crazy here. Plus, Stephan was nice enough to cover for me on my day off, making life way easier now with the project." I sighed as I leaned backwards in my chair.
On my only day off this week, Stephan had managed to find a new partner that would help us out with the jewellery event, plus he also made sure that once Monaco Grand Prix week was over, I had a couple of colleagues that would jump on the project, and help me out before I would pull my hair off.
Which also, in his own words, would help me to not stress about having two things to work with right now, allowing me to from now on put all my energy on helping out with the Fashion event next week.
And meaning that it was Friday today, and only two hours left of work, made my life feel even more easy right now. Plus, my plans for tonight got me excited, where me and Charlotte would join Daniel and his friends on a night out.
It was my first time actually going out with Daniel, and he had nicely asked me if I wanted to bring a friend of mine, and it didn't take me long to get Charlotte to agree on joining. Mostly because she was still embarrassed over how Daniel got to meet her the first time, not that she could remember a thing from it as she had been nearly passed out.
"So what do you need from me since you're in my office?" I asked with a smile, taking a sip of my coffee that already had turned cold. The exact cup that I had brought in here to get some energy to work on the last few hours of work, but the coldness of the beverage told me that I clearly had gotten lost a bit too long as memories of my 24 hours together with Daniel interrupted my mind.
The energy I had come back with to Monte-Carlo was mostly thanks to Daniel, for how he treated me with a great, if not the best, date I had ever had. Not only because Daniel taught me how great a man could be towards me, how he took care of my needs and putting me in the centre no matter how big his ego could get sometimes.
And those 24 hours with him made me realise how I really felt about him, how he helped me come to conclusion with what I wanted, and needed in my life to live it in the best way possible. How he had been carrying me back to our room after we had fooled around in the pool a little bit too long, both of us getting a bit tipsy from the champagne as we stumbled into the bathtub, me leaning against his chest as we enjoyed the closeness of each other, how he made sure to clean every single part of my body while putting small kisses on my skin whenever he got the chance.
And not to talk about the day after, when he surprised me with getting room service when I had been fully asleep, getting literally everything on the breakfast menu, making sure that I could eat anything I wanted on that table out on the balcony, while we enjoyed the sun streaming down on our faces.
"Actually, I was about to ask you if you wanted me to come over to your place before, if you're not having mr. lover boy at your place before we're supposed to meet up at the restaurant?" Charlotte teased me, knowing fully well what had happened only four days ago.
