You jolt, gasping for air.
Your heart is beating so strong that you have the sensation it got stuck in your throat.
It takes several minutes for your heart rate and breathing to return to normal.
You begin to feel your whole body operating again, despite having sore muscles and a feeling of general discomfort.
You have likely fallen from a very high point.
You can sense the warmth of the blanket on top of you. You move your fingers, caressing the soft material underneath you.
You are lying in a bed.
You even hear the muffled sound of voices outside the small, circular and cramped room you are in.
There is life out there.
Your vision is starting to clear as your eyes are slowly becoming accustomed to the dimness.
The wooden structure, the rustic tapestries and decoration remind you of a traditional hut.
It does not look like anything you have seen before, but the Pokémon world is large anyway.
You hear footsteps approaching and the doors open. You blink and wiggle your head from right to left because of the ray of light entering.
"O-oh, hello, there! You're finally awake! Praise thy, almighty Sinnoh! We were so worried about you.", exclaims an elderly woman holding what seems like freshly washed bedsheets and towels.
"H-hello... I--", you croak and start coughing uncontrollably.
"It's alright, dear! There's no need to talk just yet, you still need to get your strength back! Here, have some water."
She comes to your side and helps you sit, gently massaging your back until you stop coughing. She then adjusts the pillows behind you and holds a bowl of water to your lips to give you a few sips.
Still thirsty, you shakily grab it and drink it in full, but you wince in pain when the water passes down to your chest.
"Slow down, dear, one step at a time, or you'll hurt yourself. Let me prepare something that will revive you in no time."
She quickly moves to the quaint stove in the middle of the room, and you see her throwing in a small pot over the fire some leaves and other ingredients.
"You look fascinated.", she smiles at you, noticing your inquisitive look. "Do you want to know what this is?"
You nod while she pours into another container a ladleful of a golden, viscous-looking liquid.
"I've mixed a few King's leaves with bugwort and added some of darling Combee's dazzling honey to attenuate the bitterness! Here, let me help you - I'll blow on it to cool it down a little."
The smell and taste are peculiar, but it is true that Combee's honey reduces the bitterness of what you think is a local medicinal plant.
"Thank you...", you whisper.
"Of course, sweetheart! You're doing a good job, I'm so proud of you!"
After drinking some more of the mixture and some more water, you get acquainted to your lovely carer and listen to her pleasant chat ("My name is Tulsi, it's a pleasure to meet you!", "My grandchildren went all the way to Gapejaw Bog to collect this honey comb, the poor darlings got chased by a sleuth of Teddiursa and Ursaring all the way down to Scarlet Bog... Pokémon truly are terrifying creatures...", "I'll cook some delicious Hearty Grains porridge with Pep-up Plants!"), you are starting to feel energised and you no longer have hoarse vocal cords.
