58. Everlasting Offerings

Whilst walking across the amusement park with your Pokémon partner, you suddenly get a phone call from an unidentified number.

"Hmm?", you wonder who this can be and decide to pick up, just in case. "Hello?"

"(Name), don't turn around. I'll follow you to a safe place. Listen to my instructions... walk in the direction of the Ferris wheel and I'll meet you there.", you hear a feminine, mysterious voice.

You immediately look behind you.

"(Naaame)! What did I just say?! You're no fun!"

"Who are you? Is that some sort of prank? I'll hang up now..."

"Negative! Let's talk in one of the pods! Whatever you do, do not hung up on me or you'll face the wire consequences!"

"I'm not afraid of you! Show yourself at once!"

You and your Pokémon take a defensive stance, ready to battle.

"Sweetie, come on it's me! Elesa!", she finally reveals, almost whispering her first name.

"A-ah! B-but why are you calling me from a blocked number?"

"That's not important! Now walk on, I'm right behind you!"

You keep searching around hoping to encounter her, but she must be hiding somewhere in the crowd.

"Can't we just walk there together, maybe? Why are you acting so strange?"

"I'm not! Stop questionning me as if I were suspicious! We're almost there!"

You do as you are told, curious to hear her explanation.

When you reach your destination, Elesa requests you to wait until the next capsule arrives.

"This one! Hop in!"

You spin on yourself and are now face to face with a woman who apparently popped out of nowhere.

You definitely recognise Elesa's svelte and tall figure. She is wearing an elegant outfit and has got massive, fancy sunglasses. Her hair is dyed a new colour and styled differently than usual.

"Hey, Eles--"

She gently yet firmly pushes you inside and shuts the door behind her before removing her glasses.

"(Name)! It melts my heart seeing you! I thought it was just my luck when you passed near my Gym! I hope you liked my acting as a spy!"

You and your Pokémon are still taken aback by her enigmatic behaviour.

"I-is everything okay? Why the weird call? And us meeting here incognito?", you ask her, unable to treat it with kid gloves.

"Hee hee, there's something electrifying I must tell you in person!"

"That's fine, I'd be glad to hear what you have to say but why the cryptic act?"

"Where would be the fun if I didn't pretend I was snooping around? I was Elektabuzzing with excitement!"

"Oh, I get it now. You're so approachable that sometimes, I do forget you're a famous model and a Gym Leader..."

"Thanks! I'm ex-static you treat me as an equal and not as a superstar! That's why we're friends! Actually, I wasn't trying to avoid my fans, but rather, I wanted to ensure my favourite trainwrecks wouldn't catch us having this little private chat, so I covered my tracks..."

"Oh? What's up?"

Your face instantly lights up at the prospect of speaking about Ingo.

"You probably don't know this... but tomorrow's the twins' birthday and I want to shock them! I invited our friends, including other Gym leaders, to an informal get-together! Aaand, there'll be a ohm-pressive cake! What do you say? I'd love to have you on board the train of fun!"
