"Irida, Warden Ingo is here to see you."

"Let him in, please! Thank you, Jasper."

The guard obeys and lets Ingo in. The man courteously removes his hat and bows in front of Irida and Glaceon.

He speaks with a tired voice:

"Good morning, Lady Irida. Please, forgive this impromptu ingress. I owe you my report from last night."

"Wecome back, Ingo! I'm all ears. Please, sit down.", she shows him a cushion on the floor.

He obeys and sits on his knees, before delicately placing his hands on top of his own laps.

"How bad was it?", Irida enquires immediately.

"Sorely.", he answers matter-of-factly. "Several Mass Outbreaks have randomly spawned in various locations, some of them comprising Alpha Pokémon. Warden Melli and I note that they seem to have become more and more frequent, recently. Moreover, I have noticed that the swarms of Pokémon are particularly prone to be initiated forthwith prior to a rift opening."

"I see... So, what you're saying is that Pokémon are gathering because they can sense that a space-time distortion is about to open?"

"It is a mere surmise. I do not intend to profess that these are all interconnected."

"That's fine by me, I like you theorising about it until we get actual evidence of what's happening out there."

"Lady Irida, I have one more announcement to make. Yesterday night, after conducting the usual safety checks, and while backtracking along the Celestica trail, I remarked that an unidentified object had blasted down in the distortion field."

"I'm aware of it. Have you witnessed the moment of the impact?"

"I have. And I earnestly hope that the Diamond Clan folks have been spared."

"Adaman's initial situation report mentions some sort of cylinder made of metal crashing in an isolated zone near Lake Valor. None of the people on site could get closer to that thing because it was ablaze. He also said that he even believed for a minute that two frenzied Pokémon had fought to death, which resulted in an explosion. But neither he or his men have seen a steel-type Pokémon like this before, nor do they recall any Pokémon capable of burning an object this size."

"Incredible. So what transpires here is that this cylinder was not a Pokémon, and Sir Amadan has discarded a possible attack from a Skuntank?"

"Correct. What's more, Akari was there too and recovered from the scraps the body of a person. At the time I received this news, they were still alive."

"What an unfortunate accident...", Ingo sighs.

"The weird thing is that that person apparently comes from outside the Diamond and Pearl Clans."

"A scout from Galaxy Team, perhaps?"

"Possibly, but they weren't wearing their uniform. Adaman's letter gets quite confusing, the way I interpret it is that he believes that that person is a foreigner... I think he's jumping to conclusions too fast, as usual! Anyway, he's expecting from Commander Kamado a confirmation whether someone from Jubilife Village was reported missing lately. Though seriously, who would coincidentally get caught up in a space-time distortion in a smelly lost bog..."

Ingo remains silent for a few more seconds, while Irida lets out a long jaded sigh.

"Reckless or not, I hope this person will get through this!", she finally says.

"Indeed, let us fervently wish for their prompt recovery. It is a chance that Miss Akari was there to assist. Now then, if you will excuse me, Lady Irida, I shall depart. Thank you kindly for allowing me an audience."
