I wasn't emotional in the 4th chapter! Phew, feeling better now.

The teams were decided for the competition. It's called aten & fenu in the haven language. Lucy and I were with the red team. Olivia wasn't in either of the teams. She was the in-charge of the competition.

"Liza," He told me. "You have to attack the blue team, whoever comes charging at you. And Lucy, you will find the hidden objects. If you both are comfortable with your positions then they will be permanent but sometimes every havens' position changes so that they can learn the other jobs as well. The competition will start in a while. Be ready."

"Roger!" We gave a thumbs up to Oliver and he ran to the other members.

Lucy turned to me with a grin on her face.

"What is it?"

"Nothin'," She said, a bit too fast. She was surely hiding something.

"Yeah, like. Well, good luck." I said.

"Wait. Here's our timetable for tomorrow." She handed me the same paper Olivia had given her.

"Whyyy?" I whined.

"It's for our practice. Now we have to be serious."

I read it.

9 AM to 10 AM- Weaponry (Sword fighting, Archery, Axe throw, etc.)

10 AM to 11 AM- History

11 AM to 12 PM- Riding

-BREAK-

1 PM to 2 PM- Haven Speak

2 PM to 3 PM- Mystery Solving

3 PM to 4 PM- Repair class

4 PM to 5 PM- Medical

"I like this," Lucy remarked

"I don't and why do we have to attend history class? Wasn't it enough at school?"

Olivia whistled from her chair at the sides of the grounds. "Everyone, at your positions!"

We followed the red team led by Oliver. He pointed to someone and then the place where they had to stand. After a bunch of havens, came my turn. Oliver pointed towards a boy standing at the right corner of the grounds. He looked different from all of us. He had curly blonde hair and hooded eyes. His grey eyes looked a little....down. I walked over to him. "Hi."

He turned to me and again turned back.

"You know, this was very insulting?" I grumbled.

"I didn't know people like you talked to a person like me."

"What do you mean by 'people like me'?"

"I mean people who are deadly."

I doubted after hearing the announcement, people would like me much. He was one of the people. I stood beside him and gazed at Lucy. She was at the far left corner of the grounds, talking to a girl and laughing. She does make friends fast.

Oliver instructed the last haven to his position and the game started.

Oliver had told me to attack the one who is coming my way. A girl was charging toward me. I couldn't see her face with her full-body armor on. I had a heavy shield and sword with me. It became difficult to fight with it. Half of the time, I was dealing with my equipment. I slashed and thrashed with the sword but she always deflected my attack with her shield. When did I learn all those moves? That was the question running through my mind.

I tried to keep moving from my position to confuse her but she didn't give me a chance. She tried to stab me in the back but I wasn't really slow. I moved from the way. She fell to her knees and I had a chance to hit her on the back. She raised her shield and my sword hit it. A current ran through my whole body. Now, she turned back and my blade met hers and the fight started all over again. My whole body was hurting with that 'current in my whole body' part.

After a lot of strikes and pain, she set her sword on the tip of mine and twisted it with all her strength. My hand did a 240-degree turn and the sword fell on my foot.

There was a moment of silence before the girl started laughing. Not an evil laugh but a friendly one. "Hi, I am Malirin." She took off her armor helmet and I saw her face. She had amber eyes-fire group. Her curly, red hair reached her shoulders. There were light freckles across her face. Her eyes shone with fierceness. Unlike me, she looked brave.

She waved her hand in front of my face and I realized I was staring at her. "Hi, I am Liza." I introduced myself.

"I already know. You fought well. I thought you didn't know how to fight. You are new to all this."

"Right? I don't know how I learned these moves. It just happened, I guess."

"You don't look like you have had training." She said, looking amazed.

"That's what I can't get my finger at. How?" I tugged out my lips.

"Well, you are special. Just accept the powers." She smiled a warm smile. "Well, I've still got to defeat your team. And I can't let you win." She put back her helmet and charged toward me. I pulled up my sword and the fight started all over again.
