A pitch-black wall with nothing but a purple glow stood in front of us (Or we stood in front of it, whatever).
"So, we are supposed to walk through this wall or what?" I asked.
Ophelien was checking on the wall for a secret gate or something. She didn't speak much, I had figured. She would keep us in suspense and we'd only find out by seeing the answer from our own eyes.
No was the only response she gave. She had started to rub the wall now. What was she trying to do? Dig up a tunnel in the wall to get through?
I sighed. I looked around myself. The evil giants were still hurt and groaning in pain but they were most definitely not dead. So, my conclusion was that they were immortal and their only weakness was their life source, their purple pearls.
The good giants were all rounded up around the Gladius, maybe trying to chat up with it. The Gladius seemed to enjoy the popularity as it was glowing a golden aura.
"Who knew the Gladius would help us?" Olivia remarked, smiling at Zeth and team.
"Well, we are that nice that anyone would," I replied. I looked towards Olivia's weapon in her hands. It was back to spear form. "Looks like your spear is back. What even was that weapon?"
"It's called fassiodin. It was made to fight the enemies from two directions at once." She answered, running her thumb across her spear.
"That's ridiculous! It's like saying a pencil would be better with erasers on both sides. That way you can erase from both sides. But now the pencil is useless." I folded my arms, pouting.
Olivia chuckled, "You sound like your sister, you know? She gets offended by every little thing that doesn't make sense to her."
Well, she was right. "I guess. She is my sister. Anyways, why was Geth so afraid of fassiodin?" I remembered Geth sweating like crazy when that weapon had shimmered into existence.
"The hexens had tricked him using a fassiodin. I thought he might still have a grudge against it." She looked proud of herself and I didn't want to let her down by not praising her.
"You were great today. Like really great. And thanks for saving my life so many times in these few days. I owe you big time."
"Well, hold on to that. I think I can use that favor one day." She winked before we were called out by Ophelien.
We made our way to the wall where Ophelien was crouched down on the floor. She didn't look much happy so I didn't expect good news.
"How's opening a secret door going?" I asked, sarcasm filling my voice.
Ophelien ran a hand through her hair under the hood. "Oh, excellent. I just can't get this hell of a door to appear!" She sighed, her head down.
"So, there's no way we can get to Lucy?"
She shook her head. "All we can do is wait for them."
And that was that.
