Chapter 15: The bet

It was 7:30 in the morning, everyone getting ready to start the day once again. I drank my coffee, and we went over to start building, I don't see Camilo anywhere.. I shrug and I start helping Mirabel. 3 hours into the work, Camilo still haven't popped up to annoy me. Lunch came, and I was about to ask Alastair if he wants to eat with me but I just caught him walking into the forest, I was about to follow him when I heard Dolores.

"Ay Camilo! It's already noon and you just woke up!" Dolores exclaim, yeah she's been quite loud. I turn and saw Camilo catching his breath.

"Lo siento, Lo siento.." He said, and stretched.

"He probably had to continue his dream, when I woke up I saw him smiling in his sleep!" "Toñito!" Camilo exclaim, then he turns to my direction and we made eye contact, I gave a smug smirk.

"Okay everyone! Let's have our lunch break! Mama made snacks for everyone!" Mirabel exclaim, Camilo made his way to me, a bit nervous.

"Alright, fine, I lost. WhAT do I have to do?" He ask, his voice raising when he said 'What', and I notice him holding his stomach under his ruana. I look at him and raise a brow.

"Ate here's a plate of empanadas!" Miko exclaim and I grab it, thanking him, once he walks away to go give more food to others, I turn to Camilo and shove an Empanada on his mouth.

"For my first command, eat." I said giving him the plate and smiled. He looks at me, dumbfounded. "Oh come on Madrigal, I am not dumb. You obviously haven't eaten yet, you have half a day to spare." I said, and I went to Marcelo and Marisol, who was calling me.

"You aren't that hungry right? Let's finish up this piece, it's irking us not to!" He exclaim, and Marisol nodded.

"Alright alright. I'll grab supplies." I said, and while grabbing the supplies, I notice Alastair, talking to someone... I squint my eyes, it was a woman. Well he's probably embarrassed to talk in public, so I shrug it off and went and finish that one spot that the twins were dying to finish. They shared pan de bonos with me. It was finally my turn to annoy Camilo, it was just light tasks, since I didn't wanna push him too far, then I realize I can silence him..

"Hey, I have a task for you." I said coming beside him with an excited smile.

"What?" He ask, and I smiled.

"You have to tolerate me until next week, that means no complaining, no annoying back, nothing, just silent." I said, physically stopping myself from celebrating.

"What?!" "Our bet?" "...Ugh, fine!" He exclaim, and I did a mini victory punch, I thought he muttered something. The whole time, I finally get to annoy Camilo. He almost slipped up from time to time. Another break ensues and we were both walking around, me annoying him. Until he was saved by Señor Felix.

"H-Hey uhm, (Y/n)? You have a minute?" A boy ask, I turn and saw that it was Fajardo.

"Oh hey Fajardo! You need something?" I ask, smiling. His face was all pink.

"Uhm, I just, uh, I wanted to tell you something, and w-with this whole shenanigans happening, it got pushed back and I never had the chance I wanted to tell you." He said, laughing nervously, he was dragging it out. I tilt my head. "Ah! Sorry sorry I'm rambling!"

"It's fine! Take your time!" I said, smiling once again. His face became a more noticeable shade of red and he took a deep breath, however... I felt something behind me, not physically touching me, but just... Staring?

"I...just wanted to tell you..that you're really beautiful, and that uhm, you're always super kind and helpful, especially now that pretty much everyone knows that you take care of 5 siblings, that's outrageous honestly! And uhm, maybe after the build... Maybe we could-" a hand suddenly held my waist, tight.

"Haha! Sorry to cut in but Abuela is calling everyone back to start working again, so it's best you also get back soon! See you there!" Camilo exclaim, I jumped at him suddenly appearing beside me, but my eyes immediately dart to his hand on my waist... HIS HAND IS ON MY WAIST HOLY SHIT-

My thoughts were cut off with Camilo practically pulling me back and I just followed him. I blink a couple of times, and I glance towards Camilo, he looks irritated, we got back and everyone was still having their break, I checked my watch, there were still 10 minutes left.

"Are you okay..?" I ask, and he immediately turns to me with a smile.

"Me? I'm great! I just want to let you know that that guy is a total creep... He once tries to shoot his shot with Mirabel and it did not end well with Isabela and Luisa." He said chuckling.

"Was the hand necessary?" I ask, giggling a bit. He seems confused, then realized.

"Woops! Sorry about that! And it looks like mi mama needs me, see you later!" He exclaim and ran away. I blinked a few times.

Time Leap

I was trying to sleep. Trying hard to forget that moment. Apparently my mind only wants to rewind back to that. My heart started beating fast, and my face heating up, sudden realization came to me, making me sit up.

'Hala. Nagseselos siya...' I thought, my stomach started to do random shit. I buried my face in my pillow, screaming into it, and started hitting my face with my pillow, kicking my feet up and down, silently giggling, and even throwing and punching my pillow. Basically abusing said pillow.

'BAT AKO KINIKILIG?!!! BAT AMPOGI NIYA? Hala shet. HOOYYYY STOP THAT! BRAIN! SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!'

I eventually got tired, and slept.

Also also, I might have to get you guys ready for tragedy. It's just Chapter 15, but I am running out of ideas to put it till chapter 20.

Reader might die so... I'm still contemplating on ending on a sad ending, or a happy ending.
