Chapter 3: The Cryptic Man

     It was too late for you to convince them at this point. So all you had to do was pretend like you were happy about this move and fool everyone into thinking you're all for it so when you meet the people that changed Jessie you can expose them for who they were. Most of your bruises from your fall healed at this point so you were planning on doing the heavy lifting once you guys arrived at the house. The car you all were in arrived outside the house and you watch Angelica and Ayla head in to check out the place.

      "So this is the new place?" You hear Ayla say from inside to Angelica, as they look inside. You spared a glance inside to see how it looked inside, wasn't much since there was no furniture.

      "Seems very spacious compared to the old one we stayed at." Angelica observes the inside of the house as she walks further in. "That's a good thing." Issac entered after her.

      "Well that's cause it's unfurnished, watch once we put furniture your gonna start being like, wow it's so small and cluttered." Issac says jokingly mocking Angelica. You along with Chris outside start grabbing ahold of the boxes filled with all your friends stuff. Chris was the first to go in with four boxes pushing past Issac.

     "Damn Mr. Negative, can you all hurry? We still got a lot to unpack. We can look at the place once we get everything together." Chris points outside as he tries his best to drag the four boxes he got in.

     "Oh sorry Chris, I forgot we had to unpack everything." Ayla says as both her and Angelica step to the side. You watch Chris wobble his way in with the boxes. You wait patiently with the four boxes in hand before walking in after him effortlessly with your four boxes.

     "The boxes aren't that heavy." You say as you put the boxes down on the side before heading back out to get more. "Also wasn't Jessie supposed to help us with the move?" You grab more boxes Chris watches you with admiration and shock as you pick up another four quickly moving them in.

     "Falls from a ladder and still can carry so much." Chris sighs, he turns to the other three of your friends. "Gonna leave the injured girl to do all the work or are you going to help?" You hear Chris say before he rushes out to stop you from picking another four.

     "Hey I got this." You say attempting to keep the boxes in your grasp. Chris rolls his eyes at you before smiling.

     "Oh come on I can't have you doing all the work." Chris says ruffling your hair. "You're not even fully healed you bozo."

     "Aw my hair!" You exclaim he took this time to take the four boxes out of your hand in one swift movement. "My boxes!" You watch as Chris sticks his tongue out at you before walking in with them.

     "Don't overwork yourself, we only just moved now." Chris says, walking back out of the house to grab another four. Now Issac was helping with the boxes.

     "Yeah (y/n) you should just go with the other girls and start unpacking the boys got the rest." Issac says flexing his biceps which wasn't even that big. You roll your eyes before smiling at them.

     "When was I not one of the boys?" You question, they laugh at your comment before nudging you on the arm.

     "You're always one of the boys, but we got the boxes." Chris says, patting you on the back. You give in and decide to start unpacking your things to set up your room like how Ayla and Angelica were. You figured they just wanted to wait for Chris and Issac to start working on the rest of the house so we could get everyone's opinion. It wasn't long till Chris and Issac got all the boxes in and you all started working on the rest of the house. Two hours passed and you guys got most of the work done. You all decided to take a break for a little bit. While in your room you hear a knock at the door. Your room wasn't too far from the door so you got up and started heading to the door. But once you get there you see Ayla at the door talking to some random guy you have never met as well as Jessie.
