Baby Blue Blanket

We got home at 11:47pm and she pulled up to her house on the concrete driveway. Her house is three stories with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. The outside of the house is a light green color with a white door. They have all different kinds of flowers displayed in the front yard with the beautiful green grass. The house has so many windows to let in the warm sun's rays.

Kate stepped out of the car and walked to the trunk, I think she was going to grab my stuff. I then stepped out of the car and walked back by Kate to carefully shut the trunk. We walked into the garage, with Kate leading the way, she carefully opened the door to the big house making sure not to wake anyone. Even though her parents knew that she was going to get me but still wanted to not disturb them while they were sleeping.

Kate's room was downstairs in the basement with a bathroom and a small living room too. As we walked down the carpeted stairs, I started to see the door to her room on the right and the bathroom door on the left. Once we reached the bottom, I looked to the right to see the living room but it was more known as a hang out zone for Kate and her friends. It had a medium sized leather couch in the middle of the room and a smaller leather couch-chair in the corner of the room. On the wall facing the big couch, there is a good sized TV that was all black as of right now.

Kate walked over to the couch-chair to set my stuff down on the chair. She went into her room to grab me a pillow and blanket off her bed. The blanket was a baby blue color that was the softed looking blanket I have ever seen. The pillow was your average looking pillow with a gray pillow cover, but I knew when I lay down on the pillow it would smell just like her.

Kate put the items on the couch and folded them neatly. I started to finally walk over to the couch to feel the blanket but then Kate started to speak, "So if you want to take a shower tonight you can or you can take one in the morning, but you can just use my shampoo, conditioner, and body wash."

"Ok, thank you! I think I will take one tomorrow because I am exhausted," I spoke.

"That's completely fine, tomorrow we can go shopping to get you some stuff. I think I am going to hop into the shower tonight just so I can sleep in a bit," she said as she giggled at herself.

"Ok, good night Kate!"

"Good night darling."

Kate got her fresh clothes from her room and took them into the bathroom. She took her phone and plugged it in and set it on her nightstand. I heard Kate turn on the shower and the shower curtain open up and close.

I opened up the blanket that Kate neatly folded up and set it on the couch but then something fell on the floor and it startled me. I picked it up and realized that it was a new change of clothes for me. I slowly took off my clothes and folded them and put them on the floor. I slipped on the clothes she gave me. It was an oversized hoodie on me but fit her perfectly. It was a lime green hoodie with a smile in the middle then there were all black shorts that hugged my figure.

Then I fixed the pillow and got under the blue blanket. The blanket felt like it was giving me a needed hug and the pillow smelled just like her shampoo. Or that could have been the smell coming from the bathroom and seeping out into the living room.

I slowly started to drift to sleep while thinking about what we will be doing tomorrow. I was almost asleep but then I heard a familiar voice.

"Good night darling." Kate said it in her sleepy voice and it gave me butterflies in my stomach.

"mhm night~" I managed to mumble out my words with it hurting my voice since I haven't talked in a while. Then I drifted asleep within a matter of minutes.
