Chapter 32 finally

"Harlow!" I heard a familiar voice come from behind me. I turned to look but I was immediately met by someone engulfing me in a hug. "It's so good to see you." I gently patted Emi's backa s I looked towards Karim in confusion.

"Hey." I trailed off slightly as I hugged her back, I took notice of the fact she didn't use her regular greeting. "What're you doing here?" I didn't mean for it to sound as though I was upset that she was here or anything, I was just confused. I was also a little bit upset, Aidenw as about to tell me the secrets he'd been hiding. I was annoyed that it was interrupted.

"Well, Karim Was coming anyway." She had pulled back but she was hovering really close. "We also had some things to talk to you about." She moved from foot to foot nervously. "Can we?" She sounded so eager, it was difficult not to feel sorry for her.

"I'll go on in then." Aiden nodded nervously as he walked past us. I stopped him as he was about to go past me. He looked down to my hand and then back up to me. "I'll tell you what it is when you're done." He tried to reassure.

I nodded slightly as he went back inside. I looked between Karim and Emi nervously as they stood by the door. "So..." I didn't want to make them tell me what it is straight away, but the annoyance was still there. I wanted to be out the house for as long as possible.

"We're werewolves." Emi said. She had her hand over her mouth and Karim's eyes were glaring daggers at her. My heart didn't sk8p a beat, my breath didn't catch in my throat. I just chuckled and shook my head. "That reaction is worrying." I looked up to them from where I was still sitting.

"To be honest, it was anything but confirmed." I then pointed towards Karim. "You mainly gave it away, but it was lingering in my mind before that." He shook his head and nudged Emi. Emi still had a frown on her face and she made no notice of Karim's action. "Not to mention the fact I saw a wolf in the forest, and then there's the fact my mother has been poisoned with wolf's bane."

"Well, I'm glad you know." Emi said awkwardly. "I've been wanting to tell you for ages if I'm honest." Karim just shook his head and kept his arms crossed.

"That's because you can't keep a secret for the life of you." Emi looked rather offended at Karim's jab. "Well then, now you know our secret. I guess it's time for you to learn Aiden's?" He raised an eyebrow, I stood up and looked into the living room. I could see my brother looking outside, his eyes quickly moved as they caught my own.

"Maybe, only if you guys answer my boat load of questions later." The two of them nodded. I could still feel some tension between the two of them. I tried to ignore it, I didn't really want anything to change. I had to admit, I was a little offended that they had kept it from me, mostly Emi, but It was a very big secret.

"Yeah, I've got a feeling that we'll be here a while." The two of them went back inside, I could hear some murmurs before Aiden came back out. He let a breath escape as the two of us sat down again.

"This kind of feels like speed dating." I chuckled. "The quick swapping and all that." He shook his head with a grin.

"Yet, somehow it also feels like interrogation." The nerves were rolling off him in waves. "So, I guess you know that Emi and Karim are werewolves?" I raised an eyebrow, I was doing this a lot recently.

"You knew?" I couldn't help but feel a little bit upset by the news, I was insulted that he knew before I did. They had only just met recently.

"I found out about five minutes ago." He chuckled and ruffled my hair. "Don't get too jelly there. The others found out yesterday. It's a little bit easy for werewolves to spot other werewolves." I hummed in thought.

"So Ralph?" He nodded in confirmation. "Everyone?" He nodded again. "This is a packhouse?" I couldn't help the grin which was growing on my face.

"Yes." There was a moment of silence. "It's pretty brilliant right?" I nodded and the two of us chuckled.

"Thank you." I heard from behind us, I turned to find Hollis leaning on the doorframe. "Melina's asking when you're gonna be free." He had his arms crossed and a somewhat playfully stern look on his face. "Stealing my daughter now are we? The Forst's seem to have a knack for that" Aiden laughed freely at the comment.

"Not our fault."Aiden raised his hands. "Hardly anyone could resist this." He gestured towards himself, I scoffed and shook my head.

"Or our childishness." I nodded firmly. "That's most definitely it." The two of us stood up and headed inside. You could cut the tension with a knife. My two friends were sat on the other side of the room to the rest of the pack. It was still odd for me to think. I was trying to convince myself that I was wrong, even though I was told the truth.

Melina ran up to the two of us with a smile on her face, she held her hand out to us. Without a word, Aiden and I looked towards each other with a silent conversation going on between us. Instead of one of us taking her hand, we both took one each. I only had time to wave towards Karim and Emi before we were pulled out of the room.

"Secrets?" I asked Aiden, who shrugged. Melina had led us to a kind of play-room. THere were settees in there, so I wasn't sure if they turned into beds or something. I was, once again, astounded by this place.

Since I just found out the information aht werewolves existed, I had to think more about this house. There were so many bedrooms. Did they build the place themselves? I thought that werewolves didn't really live in houses or tried to live like humans. That seems to be the way Karim and Emi live. This house was about the same size as Emi's, but it was all on one floor and the rooms must be so much smaller.

We were followed into the room by the other children who I had briefly met. Channon and Channing seem to be two little troublemakers, I got that from the first few moments. Oran was a little shy, even shyer than Melina. Lowell seemed cool, he was rather chill and relaxed. I loved how they each had their own little personalities, despite growing up together in the same conditions with the same people.

"So, what do you guys want to do?" Aiden asked. The children looked around, I don't know what they were looking for but they didn't seem to find anything.

"Werewolves versus humans." The twins grinned. Melina, Oran and Lowell immediately scrambled away to sit on a settee. We were left with a pair of smirking twins.

"What-"

"Attack!"
