Jessie
Elliott just left with the girls and I was in our room with our mothers while the others were sitting in the living room waiting to see the dress. The dress was beautiful, off the shoulder straps with a heart shaped neckline that showed a lot of breast.
It was a perfect fit and left plenty of room for my stomach in the upcoming weeks. Tears fill my eyes at how beautiful the dress was and how Elliott was going to react to it.
I burst into tears and our mothers took me in their arms. "You don't have to wear it..."
"I love it," I choke in laughing sobs.
"Let's go show the others," my mother says with a smile.
We enter the living room and everyone looks at me in awe. "Sweetheart, you look breathtaking," my father chokes with a smile.
"If Elliott is anything like me, she is going to weep when she sees you walk down the aisle," Thomas says with a smile and kisses my cheek. "I brought the tuxedo I wore on our wedding day. Maybe she can try it on while I accompany you to the baby store tomorrow?"
"Or I could treat the girls to lunch and you can bond with her. She needs it," I say softly and he gives me an understanding smile.
"You're right, thank you," he says softly and I head to take off the dress.
When I head back down, I walk into Jennifer. She steadies my balance as I bring a hand to my head. "Jessie," she asks with concern, caressing my stomach. "Sweetheart, are you feeling okay?"
"I get dizzy spells out of nowhere," I say in a breathy whisper as the room starts to spin. "I need to..."
"Thomas," Jennifer calls out as I collapse in her arms.
"I just need to lie down, it'll pass," I assure her in a breathy tone as she helps me in a kitchen chair.
The others come running into the kitchen and my mother instantly knew it was a dizzy spell. "How bad is it this time," she asks with concern.
"The usual," I say in a breathy whisper.
"Let's get you to the couch," she says softly helping me up.
Jennifer walks on my other side and they help me get comfortable as Elliott walks in with the girls. She comes running over knowing about the dizzy spells. She takes my head in her lap and massages my head. I groan with relief and close my eyes. "I brought you a pint of your favorite ice cream," she says quietly and I hum my response.
I feel someone rubbing my stomach and look to see Jennifer. I hum a content sigh and close my eyes again. "Reminds me of when I was pregnant with you Elliott," Jennifer chokes quietly. "God, I wish we could do everything over again."
"I don't blame you anymore," Elliott chokes quietly. "I did some digging this week. I know about the cruel things your parents did to you before you met my father. I thought what I went through was bad, but it's nothing compared with what you had to go through. I'm sorry they're your parents, you deserved better."
Jennifer stops rubbing my stomach and I take her hand in mine. Knowing what Elliott went through, I felt bad for what she had gone through. "Elliott, you're parents are going to be guests at our wedding," I choke quietly and it earns me laughing sobs from Jennifer.
"Yes ma'am," Elliott chokes with enthusiasm.
"You're whipped," Thomas says with a laugh.
"I'm not going against the word of a pregnant woman dad, there's a difference," she says quietly and I open my eyes in time to see his reaction. "Would you consider being my best man?"
