* Lexi's P.O.V *

''Lexi Get Up now! I am not going to tell you again!'' 

''Then don't tell me again and leave me!'' I yelled from under the covers.

''I'm sick of youur childish behaviour,Now get up and get ready or you'll be late for school' My mum shouted dragging the sheets off me.

''Go away!'' I screamed as I pulled the bed covers back over my head.

''Lexi if you don't get up now I will take your laptop and phone off you!'' she always uses blackmail. I huffed and dragged myself out of bed. I hate it when she balckmails me it's so annoying but I know she will take them off me.

''Where is my uniform?!'' I shouted to my mum who was making pancakes.

''It's hung on your wardrobe, when your finished come down I need to talk to you'' she told me.

''Well I don't want to talk to you'' I muttered under my breath.I walked back into my bedroom and grabbed my unifrom. I glanced at the clock, what the hell it's only 7:30! I had ages left so i turned the shower on and climbed in.I let the hot trickles of water surround my body.

''Lexi, get a move on.'' my mum said bluntly.

''Whatever'' I muttered as I got out of the shower.Iquickly pulled my uniform on, fixed my hair and applied abit of mascara.It should be against the law for school to start this early! I thought to myself as I ran downstairs to be greeted by my mum in the kitchen she was stood beside a man.Great another boyfriend...

''Lexi this is Des'' My mum said giving me the 'be nice' look.She knew I hated it when she had a boyfriend not because she doesn't pay attention to me because she doesn't do that anyway but because she always gets hurt and I'm the one who has to pick up the pieces.

''Hi Lexi, It's nice to finally meet you, your mom has told me so much about you'' Des said holding a hand out for me to shake.I looked at his hand then back up to his face,I was not shaking his hand.I ignored him and picked up an apple.I grabbed my bag and headed for the door.

''Where do you think you're going?'' My mum called behind me as I reached for the door handle.

''School, why?'' I asked rolling my eyes.

''I'm taking you I need to tell you something on the way'' She said.

''Well let's go then''I sighed at her.

She grabbed her car keys and we headed out the door.Mum said goodbye to Des and he drove off in his fancy car.I sat in the car while they kissed each others faces off, YUK!.

''So what did you want to tell me?''I asked curiously.

''Well me and Des have been together for a few months now but I didn't want to let you meet him too soon,But he's really nice and I want you to give him a chance''My mum said, she obvioulsy like him.

''That's it?'' I scoffed.

''No actually, I have to go away on a business trip so me and Des have spoken to his son to see if he would stay here to keep an eye on you'' She said looking at the road.

''WHAT! I don't need to be babysat. Mum I'm 17 if you remember!''I yelled causing my mums head to dart towards me.

''Yes I also remember the last time I left you alone,do you?''She said sternly. I laughed as memories of that night came flooding back.

''It wasn't even me that put vodka in the fishtank!' 'I protested.

''Yeah whatever Lexi,I suppose it also wansn't you who re-decorated my office with paint''She said. I tried to hold in laugh.Last time my mum went on a business she left the house to me, I kind of had a party and well lets just say it got out of hand, I got a little too drunk and threw paint all over the walls in my mums office and put handprints on the walls...
