Dangerous...(a one direction fanfic)

* The secrets out*

* Lexi's P.O.V *

I walked along the dark streets on my way to work. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, my hand gripped my white iphone. I looked down at the screen.

*1 new message*

'Where are you? - Marv'

I sighed, Jeez it's the first time I've ever been late for work and he's on my back. 

'I'm on my way - Lexi' 

I quickly sent the text before sliding my phone back in to my pocket. I walked along the pavement as cars flew past me, people chatted to each other as they walked. Although it was around nine o'clock at night there was alot of people around, but I liked it I kind of felt safe but at the same time alone. 

As I approached the same familiar building I heard the music pounding through the walls. Phil gave me a smile before allowing me to enter the building. Phil is the man who works on the door, checking people's ID's and things like that, I guess he's okay.

''Finally you're here, now hurry up you're on in ten'' Marv exclaimed whilst leading me to my dressing room, I was followed by Tom. My dressing room door flew open and I was greeted by a smiling Dayna, she started to do my hair and a little bit of make up before I got dressed in to my clothes.

When I was finished Tom led me in to the room full of people, I started to dance around flashing the odd wink at some people. I didn't really look around the room usually but I could feel someones eyes on me. No, Lexi don't be stupid obviously I'm going to feel someone staring at me after all I'm in a room  full of people. My eyes scanned the room. I felt my body freeze. Is this real? 

My eyes met his... I felt my heart start to beat faster as he looked at me in disgust, shame and anger. He broke our eye contact by grabbing a drink and shoving the contense down his throat before slamming the empty glass down on the bar. His hand still clenched the empty glass as he re-connected our eyes. It was once again broke but this time by me, I couldn't look at him any longer. My eyes travelled the room before returning to the spot where the boy once stood. He was gone. 

My shift finally finished and I was on my way home. As I walked upto my house my hands became sweaty. My heart began to beat faster. It felt like someone had just kicked me in the gut. How can I face him? He's going to kill me with his bare hands.. I sighed as I grabbed the door handle and pushed the door open.

''Well, well, well. Look who we have here'' His raspy voice rang in my ears. I felt the colour drain for my face as he appeared in my sight. My mouth opened but I couldn't get any words out.

''What's wrong Lexi? is your secret out?'' The same voice echoed over and over again in my head. I wanted to turn around and run out of the door. I wanted to run as far as my legs could take me. I wanted to run until I could no longer remember what I was running from... 

''WELL?!'' His voice roared snapping me from my thoughts. I glared at him as he came closer and closer until he was inches aways from me. He brought his lips to my ear.

''Dance for me'' I froze as one of his hands gripped my waist as the other cupped my face. He lifted my chin so I was looking in to his eyes.

''Dance for me'' He repeated but this time he sounded annoyed. I shook my head a little bit.

''No'' I whispered breaking our eye contact, he snickered before grabbing my shoulders and violently pushing me against the wall. As my back hit the hard surface I winced. 

''You didn't mind dancing for all those men in the club now, did you?'' He roared causing me to flinch, I wriggled under his tight hold but the grip tightened as I struggled. He finally released me and sighed. He ran one of his large hands through his curls ans sighed heavily.

''Why didn't you tell me?'' Harry whispered followed by another sigh, Jeez why does he sigh so much.

''I knew how you'd react. I knew that you'd think I'm just a slutty dancer. It doesn't matter anyway it's my job and I'm making money'' I said no emotion in my voice but deep down inside I was still in love this boy.

''So you kept it a secret?!'' Harry said raising his voice a little.

''Yeah, I guess. Anyway everyone has secrets!'' I yelled before running out of the door. I could hear Harry shouting after me he was also chasing me for a while but he gave up. I ran as far as my feet could take me. Where? I don't know...

* Harry's P.O.V *

''Lexi! Lexi!'' I yelled after her for the last time. Why did she run like that, it was like she was running away from the world... I picked up the phone and dialed Jess' number maybe Lexi has gone to her house.

 ''Hello?''  Her voice rang from the opposite end of the line.

''Hey Jess, is Lexi at yours?'' I sighed.

''No. Why? what happened? what did you do?'' She shot.

''Nothing I found out something and well I confrunted her and she ran out of the house'' I explained.

''Okay, I'll be over in five'' She said before hanging up.

I sat in silence for a few minutes until I heard a knock at the door, I jumped up and answered it. Jess pushed past me an walked in the living room. I explained what happened and she listened.

''You know with Lexi, she's messed up mentally and emotionally. Literally and metrophorically, But everyday she walks outside with a big fake smile on her face because that's who she is. I can see past that fake smile. Her silence says much more than her words and I know that, she's my best friend and we tell each other everything. No one has the right to judge her, if they went through what she has been through they'd of given up on life a long time ago, but not Lexi, she's strong but sometimes she falls. But she always gets back up. She's stuck in the middle of who she thinks she is and who she actually is... She's been hurt... too many times...over and over and over again... You're hurting her Harry...'' My head shot up when she said my name.

''Me? hurting Lexi. No. Why?'' I was confused and you could hear it in my voice. I knitted my eyebrows together as Jess sighed whilst running a hand through her hair.

''She loves you Harry, she tries to hide it but I can see it in her eyes. When she sees you with another girl her smile disappears. It's killing her inside not being with you... you made her happy. She smiles and pretend that everything is perfect but it's not. In fact everything is far from perfect... She's scared of herself... She's scared of getting close to people because every time she does she ends up getting hurt... She's a victim of her own mind, she over thinks too much. It creates problems that weren't even there in the first place. She needs yo to be there for her Harry, she needs you to help her and guide her... I miss the old Lexi. I miss her smile, her laugh, her happy presence..just everything that makes Lexi. I'm not telling you to get back with her because that's not up to me, all I'm saying is make the right decision Harry...'' With that she stood up and walked out of the house.

I ran to the front door and watched her figure walking across the road. She stopped and turned on her heels so that she was facing me.

''Make the right decision Harry... don't let her down... don't let yourself down...'' Those were the last words she spoke before walking off into the distance. Those were the words that echoed in my head for the rest of the night...
