Aurora sat upside down in the large single person couch dangling her hair into the carpet with headphones in and eyes closed. Her feet at the head of the chair bopped to the rhythm as she hummed the tune aloud. Sunday afternoon and no plans, the way the weekend was intended to be.

Charlie walked through the front entrance and smirked at the sight of his daughters feet in the air.

"Rora." No response. He moved closer. "Rory." Nothing. Charlie sighed and scratched the back of his head. Then without warning, he took the heels of her feet in one hand and flipped them forward sending Aurora face first into the carpet with the rest of her body following with a thud. He snickered.

Aurora jumped up with her mouth wide open in shock and her brows furrowed. "DAD!" She shouted, making Charlie cover the bright smile he adorned. "Ugh!" She took a pillow and tossed it over at him one after another until she was out of throw pillows. Charlie blocked or evaded every one.

"What did i say about having both buds in at once?" He tossed one back at Aurora which landed right between the eyes. She rubbed it trying to hold back a smile. "I could've been a robber."

Aurora stood. "Maybe if you didn't sneak in here I would've heard you."

Charlie rolled his eyes recalling the two times he had called out to his daughter, but he decided to let that go. "Ready to go?"

"Go where?"

"Airport."

Aurora was confused. "Isn't it a little late to be leaving town? School starts tomorrow, dad."

Her dad gave her a look and Aurora's eyes slowly widened in realization. "You had better be joking."

"She's your sister, Rory."

"Step sister. And you promised you were going to talk to Renee about this. Remember the conversation we had? We're both too old to be sharing a bedroom and she needs to take some responsibility as a parent."

"Right, yeah, the 'conversation we had'," Charlie expressed air quotes, "where you did all the talking and I did all the nodding." Aurora groaned. Charlie sat and spoke in a cool manner. "It was Bella's choice to come stay with us, not Renee's. She's my daughter too and on top of that she is your sister. So I expect you two to make nice. If she wants to visit then she's welcome to. Whether you like it or not you actually don't get a say in this."

"But it's my room," she desperately tried to argue.

"Its my house." Charlie countered. "Why do you have such an issue with Bella? The two of you have never fought or argued. Far as I knew, you didn't have any problems."

Aurora rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Its nothing." She stomped off up the stairs to sluggishly prepare herself to leave for the airport.

Truth be told, Aurora had big issues with Bella. Maybe they didn't argue or fight with each other, but their chemistry was way off balance. Bella didn't like to hang out or talk or even be around Aurora and Charlie. She'd lock herself in the room and ignore all human contact. She had Charlie feel like a worthless dad for not being able to connect with her. Not to mention their family friend, Jacob Black, who Aurora had a crush on. He was always pining after Bella because she was older.

Everything about Bella's visits were long and grueling. Nothing made Aurora more happy than when they were back at the airport sending her step sister back to Arizona. The household dynamic would go back to peaceful and joyous. If a week or two of Bella was exhausting, she truly couldn't imagine what months of her would be like.

As Charlie and Aurora climbed into the car, she refused to say a single word to her dad. She understood why he was doing this, but she just wasn't ready to be supportive of his decision. He backed out of the driveway and started in the way of the airport.

They really had no idea of the events that would take affect the moment Isabella Swan set foot in Forks, Washington.
