Aro paced back and forth in the library with one thing solely on his mind. Aurora Swan.

"Mind control?" Caius repeated bright eyed. "Why with a gift like that--"

"I'm aware of what we could do with a gift like that, brother!" Aro snapped.

The doors to the library opened and in walked Felix. He seemed sadder somehow, even after feeding his eyes seemed dark and hazy. He bowed in their presence.

"What more can we do?" Caius questioned.

"Nothing," Aro turned to Felix. "Our dear Aurora's transformation now relies on him alone." Felix seemed confused when Aro approached him. "Go to Washington. Find her, follow her, woo her when she is alone, and do not come home until she follows after you."

Felix asserted himself. With the mention of his dear mates name, he grew excited at just the thought of seeing her again. When Aro dismissed him, he bowed once more and dashed out the door strutting down the halls. His confidence was at an all time high. He had no doubt in his mind that he could convince his mate to be by his side.

"It was completely reckless and irresponsible of the two of you to take off like that. Remember the good old days where you used to ask me before doing anything? You're going to start remembering well, because from now on no leaving the house without my say so!"

Charlie had been yelling since the girls had gotten home. He seemed more stressed than Aurora had ever seen him. She knew she shouldn't have left, but hindsight was 20/20.

He looked straight at Aurora. "And no more going over to that reservation to see your boyfriend," Aurora cringed. "If he wants to see you, then he can come here."

Since they had gotten back to Washington, Aurora had called Paul multiple times. She had only got an answer the first time, and the only thing she said was Hey before the line went dead. At least he knew she was alive and safe, but he just wasn't ready to speak to her.

Then Charlie turned to Bella. "Just because you're eighteen doesn't mean you can do whatever you want whenever you want. Starting now, you have a curfew. Both of you do. Six-- no! Four in the afternoon on the dot, you had both better be home. No friends or boyfriends allowed in the house after then either."

Aurora opened her mouth to interject, but Bella spoke first. "That's fair." So Aurora sat back without another word and continued ignoring her dad.

After what seemed like hours, he sent them up to their room as tomorrow was a school day and it was already late. He hugged them tightly just glad they were okay.

Up in the room, Edward was already there waiting. Aurora threw herself on her bed and Bella did the same closing the space between her and Edward. Aurora looked up from her mattress.

"How many times have you been in here while I was sleeping?"

Edward shrugged and smirked.

They quieted down as they heard Charlie going up to his own room and shutting his door.

Aurora sighed and stood from her bed heading for the window.

"Its late," Edward said watching her. "You should get some rest."

Bella sat up and looked between the two. "Whats going on?"

"I just have a lot on my mind right now." Aurora thought back on Paul. "I'm just getting some fresh air to clear my mind. I'll be back soon."

Bella nodded and laid back down, but Edward was still unsure. As Aurora lifted open the window, he stopped her saying, "Aurora," she turned to look at him again, "I'm really impressed at how you stood up for yourself to the Volturi. You know there aren't many vampires that would've been willing to do that, but you chose humanity over immortality." Edward trailed off for a moment before nodding. "I guess I'm just proud of you."
