Bella returned home from the reservation late in the evening. She shut the door behind her and rounded the corner to find Charlie standing impatiently.

"You know. Edward could at least respect meal times."

"I was just with Jake," replied Bella.

Charlie was pleasantly surprised. "Oh. Good." He looked past Bella expectantly but squinted with a tinge of confusion. "Where's your sister?"

Bella shrugged. "She hasn't been with me since school."

Charlie's eyebrows furrowed. Remaining calm, he turned back up to the stairs and past Bella in a hurry to the girls' shared bedroom. He opened the door and entered in. No one was there. He sighed, but something caught his eye on the edge of Bella's bed. Charlie's head snapped to it as he removed the blankets from the item and lifted it in his hand.

Bella had followed him up the stairs and into her room looking around just as Charlie had done. When he turned to her, he showed her what was in his hand. Aurora's cellphone.

"I gotta go!" Charlie dashed out the door and down to his police car. He drove off in a rush to what Bella presumed to be the police station, if not a search around the neighborhood.

Edward pulled into the drive just as Charlie was out of sight down the road. He rushed out of the car, having heard his thoughts rather loudly and in a panic. Bella met his gaze and shook her head at him clearly in a panic as well.

"Was it Felix?" She asked him.

The thought had clearly passed Edwards mind as well. Just to be sure, he too went to investigate the scene of the supposed crime. He roamed around the room sensing the presence of the vampire that had been there before them. Edward touched the dream catcher that sat above Bella's bed frame and turned to see Bella standing in the doorway awaiting an answer.

"Someone's been here, but it wasn't Felix." He scanned the room once more before taking Bella's hand reassuringly. "Let's go."

Aurora awoke in a wooden cavern. She was freezing cold and frightened. She tried her best to recollect the events that had taken place that evening.

Aurora had been home alone for a brief time when she had heard the knock on the front door from her bedroom. She got up off the bed and went downstairs to see a figure through the frosted glass that wasn't familiar to her. When she opened the door, there was a face of someone that was oddly familiar to her she just couldn't place him.

"Can I help you?" She asked kindly.

"Yes, hello. I'm looking for Aurora Swan. This is the Swan residence?" He answered.

Aurora squinted at him, but considering her thought of him being familiar to her she was easily fooled. "I'm Aurora. Have we met before?" She leaned on the doorframe prepared for a quaint chat. Maybe he was an ex-boyfriend that she didn't quite remember.

He smiled, and when he did it was a pleasant enough smile. It wasn't until she saw his eyes though that she felt a sharp knife of fear enter her body. They were red like the Volturi vampires. Red from drinking human blood.

Auroras smile brightened and she acted cool. "I think I remember you! You must've been the kid I went to middle school with, it's been such a long time. Hang on here for a second, I'm going to fetch my dad. I'm sure he'll be delighted to see you again," she lied as she shut the door and gracefully walked up the steps to her room. She grabbed her phone from her back pocket and began typing a message out to Paul shutting her bedroom door behind her, making sure not to make and sudden or quick movements.
