It's a beautiful day outside.

Birds are singing, flowers are blooming . . .

On days like these, teens like me . . .

. . . usually stay indoors for the weekends.

It's not like I'm a shut-in or anything, though. I just don't go outside unless it's absolutely necessary.

Sure, people say it's more fun to go outside, but I can also have fun by myself at home. Besides, I already spent a lot of time outdoors when I explored the whole campus for like a week and a half. Since then, I've been spending my afternoons studying, doing chores, or overthinking everything after class. Same case for my weekends.

So why is someone like me standing in front of Keyaki Mall on a Saturday at 1pm?

Honestly, it's been a tough week, and we needed a break.

After the discussion last Monday, I've been watching the class along with Kita and Ayanokouji. As we predicted, some students in the class reluctantly took Hirata's advice and are making an effort to behave.

However, there are certain students (i.e. Ike and Yamauchi) that are "rebelling" against Hirata and are continuing to misbehave in class. Sometimes, even going out of their way to rub it in his face. One time, they didn't even bother lowering their voices when talking to each other in class. They've also been seen playing their newly bought video games out in the open.

There is one more thing going on in the class, though. Some of our classmates have started to be distant from Kita. Since the incident, I sometimes notice our classmates sneaking glances at her while talking. They try to avoid approaching her as much as possible. Karuizawa wasn't being discreet with her thoughts, though. There are times when she "accidentally" ran into Kita. There is also that other time when her clique laughed at Kita due to something Karuizawa said.

Even though we haven't heard what any of them were saying, you don't need to be a genius to figure out what's happening. Although Ayanokouji and I advised Kita not to pay attention to them, we can see that it's starting to affect her. Mainly because she wants to be on good terms with everyone in the class.

So I decided to invite them to Keyaki Mall to hang out.

Fortunately, Ayanokouji accepted my invitation. Kita was happy to hang out, so we decided to meet up at the mall entrance around 1:30 pm. However, I decided to arrive pretty early because I was getting bored in my dorm.

Unfortunately, I ended up running into a particular trio.

"Satoshi! What are you doing here by yourself?"

"Don't tell me you're here on a date, you traitor?!"

Ike and Yamauchi don't like being left behind by a friend when it comes to girlfriends. Luckily for me, I don't really plan on getting one. However, even if I have one . . .

"Do you really think I'll wear something like this on a date?"

I didn't really put effort into my drip. Just a plain navy blue shirt, grey jogging pants, and a pair of black rubber shoes.

"Ah, fair point. In that case, wanna go to the arcade? Haruki is cocky about his DDR skills, and I want to put him in his place."

"Ho, ho! We'll see about that, Kanji. So, wanna come? Ken here wants to set another record in the basketball game so we can guarantee you a huge amount of tickets."

Ahh, ignorance is bliss.

"Nah, I'm actually waiting for someone."

"Lemme guess, you'll be hanging out with Kita-san again?"

"Seriously, man. I know she's cute, that's what I thought at first, but she's cuckoo for wanting us to behave because of some dumb guess."
