As I continued my walk to the library, I thought about what Aikawa said to me.I tried to recall every interaction Horikita and Kushida had so far, but I can't seem to find anything off about them. Even if there is, it's already been a month since school started so I can't possibly remember everything that happened between them in detail.
Honestly, what she said could very well be wrong. I just can't see any decisive evidence that suggested that those two have history. Horikita's hostility is so in character for her and Kushida's persistence is just seemed to be a product of her friendly nature.
. . .
Now that I think about it, there are also a few loners in the class as well that Kushida doesn't seemed to be approaching as much. Aikawa herself doesn't seem to hang out with anyone as far as I know. I also recall a classmate named Sakura Airi who doesn't seem to have any friends either. If Kushida wants to be friends with everyone, why focus solely on getting Horikita to be friends with her?
Wait . . .
Don't tell me . . .
. . . Is Aikawa jealous of Horikita?
Eh, probably not. Even if she does swing that way, I doubt someone like Kushida is her type.
Anyway, I think I'm starting to see where Aikawa's opinion came from. I guess I'll just observe the two for now and see where this go.
I arrived at the library only to ran into Ayanokouji exiting it.
"Shizutake? What are you doing here?"
"Just wanna check how Horikita's study group is doing."
"See for yourself."
Ayanokouji pointed his finger. I followed it and peeked inside the library to see Horikita studying alone.
"Oof, that bad, huh."
Ayanokouji simply nodded. Not gonna lie, kinda expected this outcome. If I have to guess, Horikita probably said something insensitive that made them all left.
"Anyway, did you run into Kushida on the way here?"
"Huh? No, why?"
"Just wanted to thank her and apologize for what happened."
I see, so Kushida also left. I guess even she has her breaking point when it comes to Horikita.
"I see. By the way, after you find Kushida-san, I want to talk to you about something."
I could probably use Ayanokouji's input on what Aikawa said to me earlier. He did figure out the special exam portion of the S-System before. Maybe he'll find something I didn't thought of.
"Sure, where shall we talk?"
"My dorm I guess?"
It's around 6'o clock. The rooftop should be closed by this time. Also, maybe I can get Ayanokouji to help me with my own study group.
"Alright, I'll go chase after Kushida now."
"Cool, see you later."
Ayanokouji nodded and began running ahead.
"Man, that dude sure can run."
I started walking back in the opposite direction. After a while, when I was thinking about whether or not should I invite Kita back for our talk, something caught my eye.
