Rochelle sighed as she exited the train that took her to Monster High. She couldn't believe it! Another year back at Monster High!! She couldn't wait for the possibilities that would come her way. But first, she had to drop off her things.

She slowly made her way to the dorms, where she used her key card to get in her room that she had used since the previous years.

Rochelle looked forward to new opportunities and new friends! She couldn't wait to meet the new students and especially the new boys.

You, however, dreaded school. It was only 3 days away. You were 3 days away from your freedom being ripped away like it had been ever since you were a child. But this time, it wouldn't be so bad.

You looked over to Venus, who grinned at you from her spot across the Monster High greenhouse. You two had been chosen to take care of the plants over the summer, which had led you to become beasties. Despite you being a human, Venus took a liking to you easily, making the entire summer a fun-filled vacation from school.

Though you and Venus were very different, with her being a party animal and a wild, reckless ghoul, you were calm and gentle. At first, you were sure that she wouldn't like you, but that proved to be wrong with her immediate attraction towards your love for nature.

Venus threw a worm at you, taking you from your head and to the real world.

"What're you doing?" She giggled.

"I'm watering the flowers." You replied.

"That's not a flower that you're watering."

You looked down at where your watering can was pointed. You gasped in surprise and pulled it upright. You had been watering the concrete instead of the actual flowerbed! You sighed and trudged over to the connected water hose to fill it back up. Venus followed with a smirk.

"Are you okay?" She kicked your foot lightly. "You're really distracted."

"Hm? Yeah, I'm alright." You answered. She frowned deeply.

"You can tell me, you know."

You nodded. "Yeah, I know. I've just been easily distracted lately, is all."

"I can tell." She hummed, pointing her thumb back to where you had poured the water along the concrete flooring instead. "What's been going on?"

You shrugged. "I don't like school."

"Me either." She sighed, and she leaned up against a pillar and crossed her feet. Her hands were behind her head in a relaxed position.

"Well, good thing we have friends." You said.

Venus nodded. "Oh yeah, definitely."

You returned to the flowers you were watering and poured the water on top. After you gave them just enough, you sat the can down and sighed. "Ready to leave?"

Venus nodded. "Yeah, let's go."

She linked her arms with yours, and together you two made your way out of the greenhouse. She stopped to lock it back up, but quickly returned to your side and kept the same pace as you.

"You want some smoothies?" You asked.

She nodded. "Yeah!"

You pointed your head in the right direction and led the way. Venus followed after you, not wanting to wait for her smoothie.

It was a short walk to the smoothie place. You and Venus had only walked for 3 minutes before arriving, and you were thankful that the trip wasn't tiresome to your legs.

Venus looked at the menu behind the counter and nodded. "Do you know what you want?"

"Yeah." You hummed. "A (F/F), as always."

"You're so predictable." She rolled her eyes. You shrugged.

"I don't see anyone else complaining."

Venus ushered you to the side. "I'll order, go sit somewhere."

You nodded and walked away from her, looking for empty, clean tables for you two to sit at. After finding one, you reclined in jt and waited.

Venus arrived shortly after, holding both yours and her smoothie. She handed it off to you, who took it thankfully.

"You ready to have a chug race?" She raised her eyebrows.

"I was born ready." You replied.
